We are looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Data Analyst to join our team for two exciting AI/ML projects in the document processing and manufacturing domains. This is a great opportunity to work closely with AI Engineers and directly impact model development and business outcomes. Projects Overview Project 1: Document Parsing via OCR and Image Recognition Development of a system for automated extraction of predefined data from various document types using OCR and image recognition technologies. Responsibilities: Evaluate the initial datasets shared by the client for quality, completeness, and representativeness. Identify and document standard ("happy path") and exceptional (edge case) scenarios. Collaborate with AI Engineers to define and prepare training and validation datasets. Assist in the model testing phase by identifying data-related issues and validating outputs. Project 2: Demand Forecasting for Manufacturing Output Creation of a predictive model to forecast production volumes based on historical performance data and relevant external factors. Responsibilities: Conduct an in-depth review of historical and external data sources, assessing quality and usability. Validate data sufficiency to ensure the feasibility of model development. Provide ongoing analytical support to AI/ML Engineers during model development and refinement. General Responsibilities Analyze raw structured and unstructured datasets to understand quality, structure, and business relevance. Prepare and validate edge cases to ensure comprehensive coverage for AI model training. Create annotated and synthetic datasets for supervised/unsupervised learning. Collaborate with AI Engineers on data schema, annotation strategies, and success metrics. Investigate anomalies and corner cases in data and model results to improve algorithm performance. Identify data patterns and trends supporting business logic and hypothesis formulation. Monitor and report on dataset quality metrics; suggest improvements for data sourcing pipelines. Work closely with clients’ domain experts to correctly interpret and contextualize data. Document findings, schemas, and outcomes clearly for internal and client teams. Requirements 2+ years of experience as a Data Analyst, preferably in a software development or consulting environment. Strong proficiency in SQL and Excel/Google Sheets for data wrangling and analysis. Experience working with large datasets in CSV, JSON, or database formats. Understanding of data annotation, preprocessing, and machine learning-ready data structures. Familiarity with AI/ML concepts (e.g., supervised learning, labeling, edge cases).
