In this role, you will use highly advanced technical skills and knowledge to develop complex data pipelines, automated ETL processes, stored procedures, and views in AWS RDS, MS SQL Server, and Snowflake. This position will also provide advanced technical expertise to staff, management, and end-users, in the area of new technologies and technical strategy.

Responsibilities & Qualifications

In this role you will:

  • Use advanced SQL skills to manage data in complex situations

  • Monitor data pipelines and performance and tune to improve job and query performance

  • Design and automate data pipelines and integrating different and complex data sources using Python, Java, HVR, AWS DMS, ECS, and Lambda Functions

  • Apply advanced skills to develop real-time data integrations in Snowflake

  • Establish techniques to monitor data quality using Validatar and manual scripts and implement remediation procedures

  • Work directly with non-technical users to identify complex needs and then translate the requirements into technical solutions

  • Demonstrate advanced competency in SQL, including advanced functions and performance tuning

  • Build user-friendly business applications in Streamlit in Snowflake

  • Demonstrate knowledge of Snowflake Cortex and AWS Bedrock AI applications

  • Demonstrate experience of Guidewire application suite and Guidewire InfoCenter and DataHub

  • Demonstrate experience generating NCCI Regulatory Reporting

  • Provide advanced technical expertise to staff, management, and end-users, by:

  • Mentor other staff on data warehousing, Terraform, Snowflake, SSIS, performance tuning, and database administration

  • Help migrate data from legacy systems to cloud platforms

  • Create new technologies, concepts, and procedures for use within the enterprise

  • Work with management to analyze technological strategies

Required qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer and information science or related or equivalent education, training, or experience

  • At least seven years of related experience or equivalent education, training, or experience

Other skills required:

  • Programming languages including Python, Java/Javascript, SQL

  • AWS Infrastructure knowledge and experience in ECS, EMR, VPC, and Internet Gateway 

  • ETL tools including HVR, AWS DMS, SSIS

  • Database experience with Snowflake, MS SQL Server, IBMiSeries DB2

  • Experience with NCCI regulatory reporting

The base pay range is based on the market evaluation of the job and may include pay for multiple levels. Individual base pay within the range is determined by a variety of factors, including experience, performance, education, and demonstration of skills and competencies required for each role. Your recruiter can discuss the full value of our total compensation package with you, including our generous bonus plans and flex-hybrid work model.

Base Pay Range: $161,028.25 - $198,917.25 Per Year
