Principal Software Developer - AI/ML

In our team, we need more than just standard software engineering skills. You will need to:

• Collaborate with data scientists, product managers and cross-functional teams to define requirements, establish design principles, and iterate on solutions.
• Design, develop, and deploy scalable AI services and development tools that leverage machine learning to provide actionable recommendations, automate workflows, and solve complex business problems.
• Ensure the scalability, performance, and reliability of AI-enhanced features.
• Understand AI training, validation, and testing to guarantee optimal performance of AI components.
• Stay abreast of the latest developments in AI and machine learning to ensure our product remains at the forefront of technological advancements.
• Provide technical support and troubleshooting for AI-enhanced features, ensuring consistent performance and resolving potential issues.
• Collaborate with the data science team to obtain, preprocess, and utilize data effectively.
• Document AI integration processes, solutions, and best practices for future reference and team knowledge sharing.
• Regularly review and refine AI-enhancements based on user feedback and analytics.
• Participate in code reviews, team meetings, and ongoing training sessions to continuously improve team collaboration and personal skillset.

This role, at a Principal level, will be critical for delivering technical direction of our solutions. Working collaboratively with your cross-functional teammates, your exceptional technical acumen and exceptional collaboration skills will drive the technical architecture, design, coding, testing and deployment.

• Computer Science degree or proven experience in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math).
• Passion for AI and its applications.
• Experience with Python, Machine Learning, LLM, Recommenders, or other AI-oriented technologies and applications.
• Experience with Java or a similar object-oriented programming language with the ability to write programs and apply OOP principles.
• Great problem-solving skills.
• Experience working with SQL or NoSQL databases .
• Experience working with IDEs such as IDEA or Eclipse.
• Experience working with code versioning tools such as Git or Perforce
• Exceptional communication skills, adept at conveying technical and non-technical information effectively.

US: Hiring Range in USD from: $96,800 to $223,400 per annum. May be eligible for bonus and equity.

Oracle maintains broad salary ranges for its roles in order to account for variations in knowledge, skills, experience, market conditions and locations, as well as reflect Oracle’s differing products, industries and lines of business.
Candidates are typically placed into the range based on the preceding factors as well as internal peer equity.
