Summary of Position-

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior AI Engineer to develop and implement AI and machine learning solutions using a combination of external and proprietary data sources. This role will leverage AWS tools and services to build scalable, secure, and efficient data-driven systems that support business decision-making, optimize operations, and foster innovation across the organization.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities-

  • Design, develop, test, deploy, and support AI software components including foundation model training, large language model inference, similarity search, guardrails, model evaluation, experimentation, governance, and observability
  • Invent and introduce state-of-the-art LLM optimization techniques to improve the performance - scalability, cost, latency, throughput - of our aviation systems.
  • Contribute to the technical vision and the long term roadmap of foundational AI systems
  • Foster productive cross-functional communication with our teams, actively proposing AI-driven enhancements for novel product features
  • Engage in in-depth technical exploration of diverse machine learning solutions, technology stacks, and infrastructure to drive innovation and optimisation
  • Develop monitoring, alerting, and diagnostics systems to ensure high-quality product delivery.
  • Ensure data privacy, security, and compliance by following industry best practices for access control and encryption.
  • Effectively communicate insights and model outcomes to both technical and non-technical stakeholders using visualization tools.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities-

Required:

  • Strong expertise in Python, R, or other data science programming languages, with hands-on AWS integration experience.
  • Experience with machine learning frameworks such as TensorFlow, PyTorch, and Scikit-learn on AWS.
  • Proficiency in AWS data storage and compute services (e.g., S3, RDS, EMR).
  • Deep understanding of AWS security, compliance, and data privacy best practices.

Preferred:

  • Experience deploying models using AWS SageMaker Pipelines or MLOps on AWS.
  • Knowledge of AWS AI services (e.g., Comprehend, Rekognition, Translate).
  • Familiarity with big data technologies on AWS (e.g., Elastic MapReduce, Glue, Athena).

Education & Experience-

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Statistics, Mathematics, or a related field (PhD is a plus).
  • 5+ years of experience in data science, AI, or machine learning, with practical AWS infrastructure experience.

Schedule & Travel-

  •  Normal business hours are expected.
  •  Travel not anticipated.

Miscellaneous-

  • FLSA Status- Full Time exempt
  • Lifting requirements- Up to 20lbs.
