Mō te tūranga mahi | About this role 

The Integrity Compliance team protects ACC’s sustainability of the scheme by preventing fraud and abuse from people who interact with ACC. The team is responsible for delivering data-led anomaly detection and monitoring tools, which enables ACC to be more effective in their interventions to prevent fraud and abuse. 

The Integrity Compliance Analyst collaborates with stakeholders and other experts across ACC to design and implement fraud prevention and detection systems and tools. They will draw in their experience and skills from data science, creating analytical tools and reporting, and AI machine learning to develop tools that would enable right interventions at the right time to prevent fraud.

You are somebody who enjoys finding the “so what” in data and thrives on finding insights that drive action. You might be a seasoned practitioner in data analytics teams in the insurance and/or banking sector, or a proficient programmer would be an advantage. You are also somebody who identifies opportunities and ask the right questions to support efforts to prevent incidents of fraud, waste and abuse.

The base salary range for this role is $73,196 – $103,336 with appointment in the range depending on skills and experience. ACC also offers 9% superannuation.

Mōu | About you 

  • At least 1 to 2 years of relevant work experience, preferably in fraud prevention and detection data & analytics in the finance and / or insurance industries. 
  • Proficient in programming languages and analytical software e.g. SQL, Python and R.
  • Proven ability in data science techniques including predictive modelling, data visualisation, and machine learning exploration.
  • Relevant experience in designing and carrying out projects, then effectively communicating the results and insight to stakeholders. 
  • Proven problem solving and ability to implement solutions with drive.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (both verbal and written), with the ability to tell the data story to a range of stakeholders.
