Advanced Manufacturing IT Vision Systems Product Line is responsible several applications used by Plant manufacturing teams. One of the applications that the product line supports is Mobile AI Vision System (MAIVS) which is a (Commercial off the Shelf) COTS application deployed on Manufacturing Plant Floor in several Ford Plant facilities. MAIVS is a rapid response system that is quickly deployable to plant floor where quality improvements are needed. The system uses computer vision and machine learning for real-time defect identification to alert operators of defects. There are also opportunities to explore new vision systems for potential deployment. We are a Product Driven Team and work with several teams/entities to provide solution to the plants.

What you'll do...

  • Become knowledgeable in Plant/MFG Quality process, tools & methods.
  • Implement and support the integration of applications within Manufacturing facilities.
  • Work with GDIA and other enablement teams to intimate and mature quality improvement metrics.
  • Administer OpenShift environment to manage application infrastructure.
  • Configuration and troubleshooting containers on Google Cloud Platform.
  • Monitoring and configuring alerts for CaaS environment.
  • Setup/Support the Apple iOS and other edge devices related to the applications.
  • Work with Azure groups to administer edge device configurations.
  • Work with cross functional teams for edge device administration and troubleshooting.
  • Log and track incident tickets through resolution.
  • Support Manufacturing IT products, vendors, and business customers.
  • Develop and publish required support documentation.
  • Maintain and manage a backlog of user stories.
  • Identify and prioritize all product team deliverables and work on the backlog.
  • Work with cross functional teams to upgrade the product in OpenShift environment.

You'll have... 

  • BA/BS in Computer Science or related field OR a combination of education and experience
  • 2 + years of experience Container as a Service (CaaS)
  • 1 + years of experience with Artificial Intelligence / Machine Learning tools and concepts
  • 1 + years of experience with Linux OS / MAC OS.
  • 1 + years of experience in Python.
  • 1 + years of experience Mongo DB.
  • 1 + years of experience in authentication concepts like LDAP, ADFS, etc.
  • 1 + years of experience with message queuing systems.
  • 1 + years of experience with Google Cloud
  • 1+ years of experience with controls and PLC integration.
  • Understanding of system architecture concepts.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Troubleshooting skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to communicate effectively with all levels of management in varying areas of business and IT.
  • Experience working independently as well as on a team.
  • Experience in Grafana setups, dashboards and alerting.

Even better, you may have...

  • Knowledge of programming principals on PLC and CNC/Motion controls systems.
  • Experience building strong teams and relationships with business partners (internal and external).
  • Experience in one or more of the following domains: Vision Systems / IIoT / Manufacturing.
  • Experience in Provisioning Infrastructure through terraforms.
  • Experience in supplier management.
  • Experience with implementing solutions from concept to production.
  • Strong understanding of fundamental computer network technology, including all 5 network layers.
  • Strong understanding of the fundamentals of Computer Operating Systems, from a software and hardware perspective - understand how the OS interacts with running processes, I/O, RAM, CPU/GPU, HDD/SSD, etc.
