Job Description

• Design, build, and maintain data pipelines and ETL/ELT processes using AWS Glue.
• Implement and manage data governance, access control, and cataloguing with AWS Lake Formation.
• Develop and support data discovery, cataloguing, and sharing workflows using Amazon DataZone.
• Integrate and orchestrate workflows across Glue, Lake Formation, and DataZone to ensure seamless data movement and access.
• Ensure data quality, security, and compliance across all AWS data services.

Qualifications

Essential Skills & Experience

• Proven hands-on experience with AWS Glue for ETL/ELT, data transformation, and pipeline orchestration.
• Practical experience implementing data governance, access control, and permissions with AWS Lake Formation
• Develop infrastructure as code using AWS CDK or similar tools (e.g., Terraform, CloudFormation).
• Experience configuring and using Amazon DataZone for data cataloguing, sharing, and integration with Glue and Lake Formation.
• Proficiency in Python and SQL for data processing and query optimisation.
• Understanding of data modelling, metadata management, and best practices for data quality.

Desirable Skills

• Experience integrating Glue, Lake Formation, and DataZone for end-to-end data platform solutions.
• Knowledge of security and compliance requirements for cloud data environments.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
