We are looking for an enthusiastic, entry-level Web Analyst to join our data-driven marketing team. As a B2B company serving a variety of industries, we rely on insights from website performance and marketing data to shape our strategy and drive business growth. This role is perfect for a recent graduate with a passion for data and digital marketing. While no professional experience is required, familiarity with basic data analysis concepts and tools will be beneficial. You will have the opportunity to learn from experienced team members and develop your skills in website analytics and marketing data analysis.
Key Responsibilities:
Data Analysis, Modeling, & Reporting
· Execute analyses on website traffic, user behavior, and marketing performance using platforms like Google Analytics, Salesforce, Marketo, Snowflake, R, and Power BI.
· Learn to build reports that provide actionable insights for improving website performance and marketing strategies.
· Support the team with regular and ad-hoc analysis on topics like user engagement, conversion rates, and SEO/SEM performance.
· Collaborate with team members to visualize data and share insights with non-technical stakeholders.
Data Management & Governance
· Ensure accuracy & integrity of marketing data through effective data management practices and rigorous testing/QA processes (partnering with Automation team).
· Learn about best practices for data privacy and security. Develop & enforce policies for data handling in compliance with industry standards & regulations, including regular audits & validations to maintain data quality.
· Collaborate with IT & data engineering teams to improve data collection, storage, & retrieval processes via non-Marketing owned technologies.
Cross-functional Collaboration & Communication
· Work closely with the marketing and IT teams to support website optimization efforts and improve data collection.
· Participate in cross-functional meetings to share findings and contribute to ongoing marketing campaigns.
· Stay updated on the latest trends in digital marketing and website analytics to help improve team processes.
Qualifications:
· Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Data Science, or Data Analytics
· Strong interest in website performance, digital marketing, and data science/analytics; desire to learn A/B testing, CRO (conversion rate optimization), and website performance analysis
· Proficient in statistical programming languages (R preferred, Python considered); familiar with popular data analysis and machine learning packages such as dplyr, ggplot2, tidyr, caret, etc.
· Strong knowledge of statistical analysis, predictive modeling, and machine learning algorithms
· Experience in fundamentals of Microsoft Excel (basic formulas, creating pivot tables, connecting to data sources, etc.)
· Expert in database querying languages (SQL and its variations – SQLite, MySQL, etc.)
· Knowledge of data visualization fundamentals; experience with popular DV tools such as Power BI, Tableau, Qlik, etc. is a plus
· Familiarity with Salesforce or other CRM tools is a plus.
· Good communication skills and a desire to work in a collaborative, team-oriented environment
· Willingness to learn new tools, techniques, and best practices for web and marketing analytics
