We are constantly growing and are excited to share that we are looking for an Automation Engineer to join our Trading team!
In this role, you will be responsible for developing and maintaining automated processes and reporting solutions that support the day-to-day operations and decision-making of our trading teams. You’ll work closely with traders, analysts, and developers to streamline workflows, improve data accuracy, and deliver timely insights.
This position is ideal for a detail-oriented engineer with a strong foundation in Python and SQL, and a passion for automation within a dynamic, data-driven environment.
What will you be doing?
- Design, implement, and maintain automated processes and scripts to support trading operations
- Develop automated reporting pipelines and dashboards to deliver real-time and scheduled data to key stakeholders
- Work with large datasets from multiple sources; clean, transform, and structure data for reporting and analysis
- Collaborate with the trading team to identify manual workflows and develop automation solutions
- Ensure automation reliability, scalability, and monitoring across internal tools
- Maintain documentation and version control for all automation and reporting assets
- Support ad-hoc reporting and automation requests from the trading department
Requirements
- Expected experience 1 -2 years
- Strong programming skills like Javascript, Python
- Proficient in SQL and working with relational databases
- Experience with automation of reports, data pipelines, or business processes
- Solid understanding of scripting best practices, debugging, and exception handling
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, data-intensive environment
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work cross-functionally
Nice to have:
- Familiar with Databricks
- Experience/knowledge of github
- Familiarity with BI tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI, or custom dashboards)
- Knowledge of financial or trading systems and concepts
- Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure)
