The Role: The Sr Associate, Index Data Management will be responsible for managing and analyzing fixed income reference data, ensuring the quality and accuracy of data used for the production and maintenance of S&P, Dow Jones and iBoxx-branded indices.

The Team: The Fixed Income Data Management team within the Global Index Management & Production Group (“IMPG”).

The Impact: The Sr Associate is responsible for the onboarding, management and quality assurance of a variety of data attributes used for the production and maintenance of S&P, Dow Jones and iBoxx-branded fixed income indices.

The Sr Associate will work with data from a wide range of fixed income securities across global markets and must ensure quality, accuracy and timely delivery of these data points to internal stakeholders and external clients.

Responsibilities: The Sr Associate will be required to:

  • Manage the onboarding of new data feeds, ensuring seamless integration into existing systems.

  • Master and analyse fixed income data sets to ensure accuracy and completeness.

  • Conduct data quality checks and implement processes for data validation and verification.

  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to understand data requirements and deliver timely, accurate data for index calculations.

  • Assist in the preparation of reports and presentations related to fixed income data analysis for internal and external clients.

  • Support the broader team in resolving data-related issues and maintaining high standards of data quality.

  • Work closely with technology teams to enhance data management systems and capabilities.

  • Stay updated on market trends and developments in fixed income securities to inform data management policies and practices.

What We’re Looking For:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, economics, mathematics, or a related field; advanced degree preferred.

  • Minimum of 2 years of professional experience working with financial data, experience working within the fixed income domain would be an advantage.

  • Understanding of fixed income securities, reference data, and market practices.

  • A basic understanding of how indices are used, the impact of different methodologies, corporate event events on both indices and financial portfolios

  • Experience in onboarding new data feeds and mastering complex data sets.

  • Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail, with a focus on data quality and accuracy.

  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

  • Effective communication skills to liaise with various internal and external stakeholders.

  • Familiarity with Python and SQL, as well as experience working with these tools for data analysis, would be an advantage.
