Through our proprietary automated sales and marketing platform, Mastermind, we empower dealers to close more deals by predicting future buyers and consistently marketing to them. In short, we help automotive dealerships generate success in their loyalty, service, and conquest portfolios through a combination of turnkey predictive analytics, proactive marketing, and dedicated consultative services.
A successful VP, Data Engineering will:
Lead multiple engineering teams across global locations to build best-in-class data platform and solutions for the automotive retail industry.
Be responsible for delivery through the entire development lifecycle with a focus on performance, scalability, quality and reliability.
Provide leadership in establishing processes and best practices around development standards, tech stack evolution, delivery and maintenance.
Manage and scale team of engineers through hands-on leadership within an Agile/Scrum environment.
Evolve and consolidate processes and teams where applicable for optimal execution.
Help set the technical direction for the team, drive the evolution of the systems architecture, and make appropriate technology choices.
Architect, design and build solutions on cloud-native architectures, big data and advanced analytics (AI/ML).
Be a resourceful, impactful and trusted advocate for the engineering function and be a major voice in setting and developing the company’s roadmap by balancing new features and technical improvements.
Develop talent, share knowledge and act as a mentor and coach to team members across the organization.
Partner with stakeholders across technology functions and with Product, Commercial and Operations teams for mutual success.

Minimum Requirements:
The successful candidate will be a strong leader who can prioritize well, be detail oriented, exude passion, value client-experience and customer service, and thrive on creating industry-leading products.
17+ years professional experience working in Engineering and 9+ years of relevant management experience.
Possess a strong foundation in data architecture, design and development.
Experience building data platforms and solutions on cloud infrastructure (Google Cloud, AWS or Azure) in Python or other back-end programming languages.
Proven experience managing global teams.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (written and verbal). Fluency in English.
Preferred Qualifications:
Master’s degree or an advanced degree / certification is preferred.
Experience in Big Query, Apache Spark, Apache Beam or other data processing workflows is a plus.
Automotive industry experience is a plus.
Compensation/Benefits Information (US Applicants Only):
S&P Global states that the anticipated base salary range for this position is $213,000 to $277,000. Final base salary for this role will be based on the individual’s geographical location as well as experience and qualifications for the role.
In addition to base compensation, this role is eligible for an annual incentive plan.

Expected Hours of Work:
This is a full-time position. Generally, work is performed Monday through Friday, though holidays and weekends may be required.
Where you will be:
Office based roles work a hybrid work schedule with a current minimum of two teamwide designated days in the office.
