As a part of the Marsh Advisory team in Knowledge Services function of MMGS, the colleague would support our Casualty Advisory stakeholders in US by enabling their data analytics and claims value propositions. The Casualty Advisory team works closely with clients and carriers to proactively, identify ways to achieve optimal claims outcomes. Additionally, we provide end-to-end integrated experience across advocacy, preparation and handling, specifically designed to drive simplicity and close claims quickly. We prepare organizations with claims strategies using proprietary technology and data to minimize a client’s claims exposure and improve their cost of risk transfer.
MMGS is a global knowledge center for Marsh McLennan and houses teams, which work closely with the colleagues across various operating units and locations. This position is out of our Mumbai, India office of MMGS.
What can you expect?
- Work as a core member of the Claims and Data Analytics team aligned to the Casualty Advisory practice of Marsh US
- Contribute to the creation and development of excel based Claims Analytics and Dashboards
- Collate information from various sources to further harvest for the purpose of analytics
- Apart from BAU, collaborate and contribute to project based initiatives that the Data Analytics and Reporting team within Knowledge Services keep signing-up
We will count on you to:
- Wrangle, standardize and integrate US Worker’s Compensation and Auto Liability (AL) claims data across clients and transform them to be consumed for Analytics
- Build excel dashboards with descriptive and trend based analytics on US Worker’s compensation and AL claims data
- Review all the metrics in the Dashboard to make sure that the values are within the defined range and call out any anomaly or unusual trends
- Handle complex and large claim files originating from third party’s Risk Management Information Systems (RMIS)
- Review claims data to identify the gaps and raise flags highlighting the impact
- Help in creating reports critical to invoice the client on the agreed scope of work
- Demonstrate great project management skills to ensure quality and timelines
- Create efficiency by automating repetitive tasks using VBA Macro
What you need to have:
- 3 to 5 years of experience with strong data analytics skillsets. Candidates with General Insurance domain across different types of claims, claims lifecycle and claim data will be preferred
- Graduate or Masters in Commerce or Business Administration or any equivalent education programme
- Candidates with experience on US Worker’s Compensation and/or Auto Liability claims will have an advantage
- Microsoft Excel – Expert on data wrangling, data integration, macros and exceptional ability to handle large sets of data. Must be at ‘Expert’ level of proficiency
- Expert level VBA Macros with demonstrated experience in building data linkages and automation
- Beginner to intermediate level experience of SQL , R and Python scripting to fetch data will be an added advantage
- Strong verbal and written communication skills - excellent email writing skills.
