Job Description & Summary

At PwC, our people in information technology operations focus on managing and maintaining the technology infrastructure and systems to provide smooth operations and efficient delivery of IT services. This includes monitoring network performance, troubleshooting issues, and implementing security measures.

In IT systems administration at PwC, you will work through the implementation, management, administration and advanced troubleshooting of IT solutions. You will be responsible for maintaining the seamless operation of an organisation's IT infrastructure, which includes maintaining servers, managing network configurations, and providing critical support to prevent and resolve technical issues.

We are seeking a dynamic and innovative Technology Solutions Engineer to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for designing and implementing cutting-edge solutions that drive process automation, leverage artificial intelligence, and utilize cloud micro-services. You will work on light development projects and developing  AI solutions to enhance business processes and improve efficiency using our standard AI technologies. The ideal candidate will have a good background in technology innovation, process automation, and cloud services, with a passion continuous learning.

Network Collaboration: 

• Communicates with stakeholders, including project teams, security and business stakeholders to facilitate solution design and development.  

• Serve as subject matter expert in core digital solution technologies. 

• Work with technology teams to understand the impact of digital solution requirements on security, infrastructure and desktop technologies.  

 

People and Performance Management: 

• Participates in support activities, substituting for other groups as necessary.   

• Participates in team building activities, is a supportive team member in the region 

• May have regular contact with service providers and peers on matters that may require interpretation beyond established procedures. 

• Provides formal or informal knowledge sharing regarding the use of new and existing technology, proprietary products and applications to team members, service providers and staff members 

• Ability to develop work approach and project plans to meet requirements, manage and monitor progress of plan. 

• Familiarity or experience with Project Management skills. 

 

 

Market Efficiency: 

• As role requires, may perform activities related to Application support depending on dependencies with development application projects 

• May originate and provide documentation for best practices to multiple constituents by gathering information to provide appropriate cluster/region service alerts and advisories for application development and related systems 

• Demonstrate the ability to coordinate, manage and/or participate in small and medium projects that typically have local/market/regional/cluster impact. 

 

 

 

Capabilities / Skills Required: 

• Understanding of standards for technology implementation and customer service skills.   

• Experience with development languages such as Python, Java Script or TypeScript 

• Experience in Generative AI Components and Building Blocks for Solutions, including Agentic Workflows 

• Good experience in Power Platform, including Power BI, Power Apps, AI Builder and Power Automate 

• Understanding and experience in data science concepts such as ETL and machine learning strategies 

• Understanding and experience in database structures including SQL and JSON 

• Understanding of secure coding methodologies 

• Good understanding of agile methodologies in software development  

• Willing to work overtime as necessary to complete deliverables based on priority 

Education Level (minimum requirement plus any additional desirable qualifications): 

• Undergraduate Degree (e.g., BA, BS) in Computer Science or Information Technology 

• Microsoft related certifications will be considered an asset 

• Project management qualifications such as PMP will be considered an asset.
