Summary
HII is seeking an experienced Senior Lead Data Engineer to spearhead critical enterprise data initiatives supporting the US Air Force. This role will be instrumental with final integration and deployment of Zero-trust enabled, data centric, coalition information sharing functionality to DoD components, allies, and interagency partners.
What you will do
- Design and implement enterprise-wide data architecture solutions, ensuring scalability and security compliance.
- Ensure all data architecture meets federal security requirements and conduct regular security assessments of data systems and processes.
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues in data processing.
- Implement data quality control measures and monitoring systems and manage system upgrades and maintenance procedures.
- Maintain comprehensive technical documentation for all systems and processes.
- Prepare technical reports and presentations for leadership.
What we are looking for
- 9 years relevant experience with bachelor’s in computer science, Mathematics, or equivalent technical degree, with concentrations/focus in security or equivalent related field; 7 years relevant experience with Masters in related field; 4 years relevant experience with PhD or Juris Doctorate in related field; or High School Diploma or equivalent and 13 years relevant experience in enterprise data and information management experience.
- 4+ years’ experience working with real-time and batched scalable enterprise data architecture processes and Enterprise Information Management technologies.
- Knowledge and hands-on experience with agile and DevSecOps methodologies as it applies to Enterprise Data Management for both batch and streaming services.
- Experience in Risk Management Framework (RMF) security assessments as it applies to Enterprise Data Management for both batch and streaming services.
- TS/SCI security clearance.
Bonus points for
- 2+ years’ experience with container technologies such as Docker or Kubernetes.
- Data engineering experience with data technologies such as Spark and integration with enterprise access control services.
Physical Requirements
May require working in an office, industrial, shipboard, or laboratory environment.
