Create impact as a Manager Data Visualisation and Observability
Your Role
As the Manager of Data Visualisation, you will lead the adoption and utilisation of visualisation tools across our organization. You will manage and operate IAG’s strategic Data Visualisation tools including a small development team. Your responsibilities include growing and maturing Data Visualisation services, establishing and leading IAG’s Data Visualisation Centre of Excellence (COE). As a result, you will work closely with a large community of content creators and users, enabling data visualisation capabilities. Staying updated on industry trends and best practices, you will drive continuous improvement and innovation. You will also contribute to the development and execution of our Data Visualisation strategy, ensuring alignment with organisational goals.
This is a permanent position which can be based in Gadigal Country (Sydney) and (Naarm) Melbourne.
Your collaborative working style, skills in requirements gathering and ability to act as the conduit between the engineering and visualisation teams will ensure your success in the role.
About You
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in data visualisation, BI, or related fields.
- Proven experience in developing and executing Data Visualisation Strategies.
- Extensive experience with Tableau and or PowerBI.
- Experience in SAP BO is advantageous, but not essential.
- Experience in operating Data Observability tools such as KADA, Informatica, Collibra or similar tools is advantageous.
- Experience in vendor and commercial management is essential.
- Strong leadership and team management skills.
- Outstanding communication and stakeholder management abilities, capable of influencing and collaborating seamlessly across diverse teams.
- Strong self-initiative to propel initiatives independently, coupled with proficient leadership skills to guide teams effectively.
- Experience in cultivating team capabilities and optimising performance to achieve organisational objectives.
- Proficiency in identifying and managing risks, implementing robust risk controls to mitigate potential issues effectively.
- Familiarity or exposure to cloud services, particularly in Google Cloud Platform (GCP), is advantageous.
