SAP MDM (Master Data Management) Lead to oversee the design, implementation, and management of master data solutions across the organization. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in SAP MDM tools, processes, and best practices, with a focus on ensuring data accuracy, consistency, and governance. This role involves leading a team of MDM specialists, collaborating with cross-functional teams, and driving the strategic direction of master data management to support business objectives. The SAP MDM Lead will play a critical role in enabling data-driven decision-making and operational efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:

1. MDM Strategy and Leadership:

o Define and implement the organization’s SAP MDM strategy, roadmap, and governance framework.

o Lead and manage the SAP MDM team, ensuring the successful delivery of master data solutions.

o Align MDM initiatives with business goals and data governance policies.

2. Master Data Management Implementation:

o Oversee the design, configuration, and implementation of SAP MDM solutions.

o Ensure the integration of master data across SAP and non-SAP systems.

o Manage master data domains such as Customer, Vendor, Material, Finance, and Logistics.

3. Data Governance and Quality:

o Establish and enforce data governance policies, standards, and procedures.

o Monitor and improve data quality through regular audits, cleansing, and enrichment activities.

o Resolve data-related issues and provide root cause analysis.

4. Stakeholder Collaboration:

o Collaborate with business stakeholders, IT teams, and external vendors to deliver MDM solutions.

o Conduct workshops and training sessions to educate users on MDM processes and tools.

o Act as a liaison between technical teams and business units to ensure alignment of MDM strategies with business goals.

5. Project Management:

o Lead end-to-end MDM projects, including requirements gathering, solution design, testing, and deployment.

o Manage timelines, deliverables, and resources for MDM initiatives.

o Provide regular updates to senior management and stakeholders on project progress.

6. Technical Expertise:

o Utilize SAP MDM tools and technologies to develop and maintain data models, workflows, and validation rules.

o Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to MDM systems.

o Stay updated on the latest SAP MDM trends, tools, and best practices.

7. Continuous Improvement:

o Identify opportunities for process optimization and automation within the MDM landscape.

o Recommend and implement enhancements to improve system performance and user experience.

o Promote a culture of data-driven decision-making and continuous improvement.

Requirements

• Education:

o Bachelor’s degree in information technology, Computer Science, Business Administration, or a related field.

o SAP MDM or SAP MDG certification is highly desirable.

• Experience:

o Minimum of 8-10 years of experience in SAP MDM, with a focus on leading MDM initiatives.

o Proven experience in implementing and managing SAP MDM solutions in large-scale organizations.

o Strong understanding of SAP modules (e.g., FI/CO, SD, MM, HCM/SF) and their integration with MDM.

• Technical Skills:

o Proficiency in SAP MDM tools.

o Knowledge of SAP S/4HANA and its implications for master data management.

o Familiarity with data modeling, ETL processes, and data integration techniques.

• Soft Skills:

o Excellent leadership and team management skills.

o Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.

o Effective communication and stakeholder management skills.

o Detail-oriented with a focus on delivering high-quality results.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with non-SAP systems and their integration with SAP MDM.

• Knowledge of regulatory requirements and their impact on master data management.

• Experience in Agile or Scrum project management methodologies.

Work Environment:

• This role may require occasional travel to other company locations or SAP events.

• Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with changing priorities.
