Our employees are not only part of history, they're making history.We are seeking engineers to lead the integration of NVIDIA Omniverse, Isaac Sim, and Isaac Lab into our existing simulation and analysis infrastructure. This role will support advanced robotics, rendering & visualization, autonomy, and computational fluid dynamics workflows by extending Omniverse-based environments, integrating physics and AI models, and ensuring seamless data and software interoperability across simulation platforms. Specific foci are in the following areas:
- Utilizing Omniverse ray tracing capabilities to augment/replace our Digital Scene Generator used for rendering scenes for assessing Rendezvous and Proximity Operation camera performance
- Utilizing Isaac Lab to train robotics-based AI agents.
- Integrating Computational Fluid Dynamics workflows between Omniverse and other simulation platforms
In this role you will design, develop, integrate, modify and maintain customized embedded mission systems for space vehicle applications using software engineering best practices and standards. You will participate in the full life cycle of software development, to include requirements development, modeling and design, application development, unit to CSCI testing, integration, formal system testing, release, installation, and maintenance.
This position can be filled as a Principal (level 3) or a Sr Principal (level 4) depending on experience.
Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor of Science in Engineering or related STEM field
- 5 years (level 3) or 8 years (level 4) of Software/Systems related experience with a high proficiency in technical problem solving to include decomposition, root cause analysis, solution development, implementation and monitoring. Experience can be considered in lieu of degree
- U.S. citizenship
- C/C++ programming experience
- Experience with NVIDIA Omniverse and Machine Learning algorithms
- Experience in requirements analysis, modeling and simulation, verification and validation at subsystem and system level
- Demonstrated experience in Embedded Software, Space Flight Software or Simulation Software.
- Strong interest in space, national security, and related mission areas.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Active TS/SCI clearance
- Diverse programming proficiency: C/C++, Python, Matlab/Simulink, Windows/Linux scripting
- Demonstrated systems engineering excellence in requirements analysis, modeling and simulation, verification and validation at subsystem and system level or Demonstrated vehicle development, mission systems integration, ground and flight test validation experience
- Experience in successfully developing and integrating software and hardware solutions for space applications
- Experience in system and subsystem specification development including verification methodologies
- Experience implementing action plans based on metrics and/or root cause/corrective actions
- Master of Science in Engineering or other STEM discipline
- Hands-on technical experience with spacecraft or satellite related systems
- Proven experience working with technically diverse teams across multiple locations
- Experience with Space Flight Software, Simulation Software

Salary Range: $133,500.00 - $200,300.00Salary Range 2: $166,200.00 - $249,400.00The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay.
