The Investor Relations website contains information about Carnival Corporation & plc's business for stockholders, potential investors, and financial analysts.The Analyst will support the Technical Operations Department and is responsible for collecting, consolidating, and centralizing data intended to inform operational and business decisions. The role focuses on visualizing fleet operational data as well as performing project analyses and reporting.
The Analyst will collaborate with subject matter experts to develop logic on which data frames will be built to support forecasting for long term asset replacement and retrofits. They will support the asset team by gathering, analyzing, tracking, and reporting on capital and operational budgets and deliverables. Additionally, they will support the change management process by analyzing, tracking, and reporting on the process performance. To ensure accuracy in reporting and minimize non-compliance, the analyst may be required to periodically collaborate with project owners to understand roadblocks in the process and assist with troubleshooting workflows, as needed.
Essential Functions:
- Research, collect, and analyze data from multiple sources. Transform and cleanse the data and visualize in dashboards to meet stakeholder needs and specifications:
- Conduct thorough research to identify relevant data sources and gather data from various internal and external systems.
- Perform data collection, transformation, and cleansing to ensure data accuracy and consistency.
- Develop and maintain dashboards that provide clear and actionable insights, tailored to stakeholder needs and specifications.
- Utilize advanced data visualization techniques to present complex data in an easily understandable format.
- Understand trends and patterns in the data. Translate them into business insights and create reports to be used to communicate to leadership at a defined cadence. Provide input for actionable strategies based on observed trends:
- Analyze data to identify trends, patterns, and anomalies that provide valuable business insights.
- Develop comprehensive reports that effectively communicate findings to leadership and other stakeholders.
- Provide actionable recommendations and strategies based on data analysis to support decision-making and drive business improvements.
- Regularly refresh, maintain, and troubleshoot dashboards:
- Ensure dashboards are regularly updated with the latest data to provide accurate and timely insights.
- Perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting to address any issues or errors in the dashboards.
- Collaborate with technical teams to resolve issues and ensure the smooth functioning of dashboards.
- Meet regularly with stakeholders and SMEs to define and develop reporting needs and team KPI’s:
- Conduct regular meetings with stakeholders and subject matter experts (SMEs) to understand their reporting requirements and key performance indicators (KPIs).
- Collaborate with stakeholders to identify and prioritize reporting needs, ensuring alignment with business objectives.
- Develop and document detailed reporting specifications, including data sources, metrics, and visualization requirements.
- Provide ongoing support and communication to stakeholders to ensure their reporting needs are met and address any issues or changes in requirements.
- Collaborate with analysts on other teams to gain familiarity with data and create synthesized reports:
- Work closely with analysts from different teams to understand their data and reporting processes.
- Share knowledge and best practices to enhance data analysis and reporting capabilities across teams.
- Collaborate on joint projects to create synthesized reports that provide a holistic view of business performance.
- Identify opportunities to improve or optimize dashboards and reporting. Stay abreast of industry analytics trends, techniques and tools and implement them where possible to improve the productivity and effectiveness of reports:
- Continuously evaluate and proactively identify opportunities to enhance dashboards and reporting processes.
- Stay updated on industry trends, techniques, and tools in data analytics and visualization.
- Implement new methodologies and technologies to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of reporting.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Analytics or Engineering is required
- 3-5 years of experience in data analytics or data science, building data sets and data visualizations. Internships and relevant education in lieu of full-time work experience is acceptable.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Strong Excel, PowerPoint, Word, SQL/TIBCO, and Tableau/PowerBI, and Python skills
- Business Acumen: Possesses strong business acumen in operations, aligning reporting and analysis with key business impacts.
- Strong Analytical Skills: Demonstrates the ability to analyze complex data sets, identify trends, and draw meaningful insights to support decision-making processes.
- Attention to Detail: Maintains a high level of accuracy and precision in data analysis, reporting, and documentation.
- Excellent Communication and Presentation Skills: Effectively communicates complex information in a clear and concise manner, both verbally and in writing, and presents data-driven insights to stakeholders.

- Data Management: Proficient in managing and building large, sometimes ambiguous data sets, ensuring data integrity and reliability.

Physical Demands: Must be able to remain in a stationary position at a desk and/or computer for extended periods of time.

Work Conditions: Work primarily in a climate-controlled environment with minimal safety/health hazard potential.
This position is classified as “in-office.” As an in-office role, it requires employees to work from a designated Carnival office in South Florida Tuesday through Thursday each week. Employees may work from their homes on Mondays and Fridays. Candidates must be located in (or willing to relocate to) the Miami/Ft. Lauderdale area.
