Operations is a dynamic, multi-faceted division that partners with all areas of the firm to deliver banking, sales and trading and asset management capabilities to clients around the world. Alongside this vital service delivery role, Operations provides essential risk management and control, preserving and enhancing the firm’s assets and its reputation. Operations span all product lines and markets, serving as internal business partners who develop the processes and controls, and help to specify the systems that deliver accuracy, timeliness and integrity to our business. 

 

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Maintain and support portfolio-tracking systems aimed at providing internal and external reporting.
  • Reconcile transactions within client accounts.
  • Calculate account performance returns and investment management fees.
  • Prepare client and advisor facing reports.
  • Utilize automation tools to perform quality controls to ensure data accuracy.
  • Coordinate and process team specific tasks as requested by the business.
  • Work across multiple systems and platforms.
  • Interface with teams and businesses to resolve on-going issues and answer specific questions.
  • Provide support and work on special projects as requested.
  • Apply business judgment to identify unusual or suspicious activities and escalate issues as appropriate.
  • Understand and adhere to all policies and procedures including, but not limited to, quality, client service, information security, and compliance.

 

QUALIFICATIONS / REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • 1-3 years of prior work experience in a relevant field
  • Concentration in Business, Finance, Accounting, or Information Systems preferred
  • Understanding of financial markets and securities
  • Proficient to advanced skill with Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook)
  • Strong ability to manage multiple projects and competing deadlines
  • Team player with positive attitude and strong work ethic
  • Strong communication skill (written and verbal)
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to adapt quickly to a variety of industries and businesses
  • Ability to self-direct, analyze and evaluate and form independent judgments
  • Ability to effectively interact and build relationships with senior management and global stakeholders 
  • Commercially savvy with ability to exercise discretion with respect to highly confidential/sensitive information
  • Integrity, ethical standards and sound judgment

Salary Range
The expected base salary for this Albany, New York, United States-based position is $50000-$75000. In addition, you may be eligible for a discretionary bonus if you are an active employee as of fiscal year-end.
