EMEA Intelligent Data Lake team is tasked with supporting the EMEA account teams in a diverse number of ways, ranging from answering tenders, running approach workshops, customizing demos and building prototypes to directly supporting customers with specific requests. At this center we are looking for individuals who are willing to take on the challenge of building excellent product knowledge, collaborating with product management group, conceptualizing it into a solution in the area of Intelligent Data Lake and combining this with a good commercial sense while working in an international environment.

 

As EMEA Intelligent Data Lake team member you get to work on the latest product offerings. It provides the chance to develop on a very broad spectrum, ranging from product/ solution expertise, customer interaction, communication and general IT market knowledge. Success means the role is in high demand and offers the opportunity to pursue a career path both in presales and in many different IT and non-IT functions.

What You Will Do 

  • Accelerate customer opportunities with new and existing customers through technical presentations, workshops, solution assistance, or hands-on assistance and demonstrations.
  • Answer Requests for Information and Requests for Proposal as part of our Solution Assistance offering (Product Questions, Architecture and Infrastructure Questions)
  • Assist in the creation of customized analytics demos
  • Proactively support account teams in positioning Intelligent Data Lake as a key differentiator for our customers looking to innovate their data landscape
  • Maintain in depth and up to date knowledge of relevant business drivers & typical customer needs as well as market and industry trends
  • Ensure collaboration with product management group as well as fellow colleagues on account engineering teams, cloud adoption managers, isv presales teams.
  • Actively develop product expertise
  • Attend adequate product trainings; read relevant collateral, analyst reports, white papers, competitive documents etc

 

What You Will Bring

 

PROFILE: To fulfill the role of an Intelligent Data Lake black belt, we are looking for individuals that match the following profile:

 

Technical:

  • 4+ years of Solution Engineering or similar experience with a Bachelor's or higher degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
  • 3+ years of experience in data engineering, designing, building, and maintaining large-scale data processing pipelines.
  • Experience working with Data Lakes - Databricks; Fabric
  • Experience with Kafka and/or other streaming technologies.
  • Knowledge of Spark and its different modules 
  • Proficiency in one or more programming languages (Python, Java, Scala)
  • Experience in working with a relational database system -preferably Oracle but others are acceptable as well; good SQL knowledge.
  • Knowledge on NoSQL technologies.
  • Extensive knowledge of data warehouse, data mart, and data lake concepts
  • Knowledge in building data products
  • Strong understanding of distributed systems, data partitioning, and fault tolerance.
  • Familiarity with data modeling, schema design, and optimization.
  • Good understanding of the IT market/trends especially on the realm of Data Lakes/Lakehouses and Analytic workloads
  • Good knowledge of Machine Learning and AI
  • Basic knowledge and interest in the development of ML algorithms 
  • Knowledge of Dataviz tools and libraries
  • Understands the various concepts of cloud technology, preferably certified in at least a cloud technology
  • Any certification on Cloud, Analytics or DHW, Lakehouse, DataLake, AI&ML technology is a plus

 

 Non Technical:

  • Excellent written, oral and visual communication skills, both with technical stakeholders and with C-Levels.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Openness to work with different languages & cultures
  • Ability to work in (virtual) teams. To get a specific job done often requires working together with many colleagues spread out in different countries
  • Self motivated, you have the natural drive to learn and pick up new challenges
  • Eagerness to learn – you enjoy the challenge of getting to master new products in a very short timeframe
  • An innovative mindset
  • Industry understanding coming from real life working experience with customers is preferred

 

Other:

 

  • Work experience in a similar role is an advantage
  • We are looking for candidates with Language skills: Spanish, French
