How you will create an impact
Lead technical delivery for critical initiatives, with initial focus on a MDM modernization to reduce operational cost and eliminate technical debt.
Lead highly outsourced technical delivery/ BAU teams to deliver Master Data across functional areas, like Finance / Actuarial systems on time, with high quality.
Establish best practice, guidance, and recommendations for MDM data solutions that are scalable, secure, resilient, efficient, and managed with operational excellence.
Serves as a Technical Subject Matter Expert for data mastering, guiding technology selection with focus on efficiency, cost and time to market.
Responsible for fostering relationships with business and IT stakeholders for the program.
Maintain industry / AIG security standards and SDLC compliance for delivery. This includes establish and develop data controls for internal and external requirements.
Ensure high quality delivery across vendor teams spread across different geographies.
What you’ll need to succeed
Experience in leading Application development, large data management solutions and information handling at the enterprise level, possessing deep understanding of SDLC.
in-depth knowledge of the data mastering principles and workload architectures. Should be able to provide guidance on how to address high-risk issues.
Ability to manage large vendor teams across multiple geographies.
Sound understanding of ETL processing, API management and Real time integrations.
Experience working in large, complex, multinational financial data environments.
Insurance (ideally property and casualty) industry expertise in the data domain.
Business acumen and understanding of Insurance metrics.
Ability to work under challenging delivery situations fulfilling tight deadlines and budget constraints.
Experience in providing technical expertise and project leadership by conducting industry and market research and making recommendations regarding current and new domain knowledge and related technologies.
Ability to understand the long-term ("big picture") and short-term perspectives of situations.
Effective communication skills and facilitation experience with business and technology stakeholders to understand use cases and business needs.
Ability to influence change and drive results. Must be a self-motivated driver to identify issues and resolve them quickly.
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and with changing priorities.
Familiarity with Agile methodologies and ability to use Rally to track user stories
Additional Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Math, Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related field AND 6+ years’ experience in software development or data engineering work in progressive leadership roles.
Strong background in MDM concepts, Master Data Management and cloud technologies
Knowledge of Informatica MDM, Informatica ETL and Microsoft technologies.
Familiarity transforming and analyzing structured, semi-structured, and unstructured data.
Experience with Git / GitHub
Experience managing real time integrations and performance tuning.
Experience in Property and Casualty insurance with emphasis in commercial lines.
Experience in developing and operationalizing complex data engineering solutions.
Leverages expert problem-solving skills and techniques.
