Provide assistance with the day-to-day operations of the Compensation and/or Employment division with the University's Human Resources department. Support business reporting needs for both internal human resources business processes and external customers. Respond to all reporting requests including but not limited to survey data, internal and external information requests and public records requests. Assist with job posting and advertisement processes. Create and maintain Human Resources analytics to provide “dashboard” data for use in business intelligence. Assist in providing support to IT Business Analysts with relation to Human Resources data, policies, procedures, and process reengineering. Perform troubleshooting and analysis to ensure the accuracy of system data.
Compensation:
- Develop ad hoc reports in response to internal human resources and university business processes, information requests from the campus community, external customer inquiries, and data audits. Perform analysis and troubleshooting for reporting data output. Provide and maintain Human Resources analytics to administer "dashboard" data for use in business intelligence.
- Provide external reporting/survey data compilation and distribution including salary surveys and HEI data submission to the Ohio Board of Regents. Respond to public records requests initiated by the Office of General Counsel. Prepare the personnel action activity and other reporting requests for submission to the Board of Trustees. Compile related reports including but not limited to faculty letters of appointment, etc. Perform analysis and troubleshooting for reporting data output.
- Assist with the daily compensation operations that may include: approving compensation related actions within the Hurman Resources system, developing and maintaining job descriptions, providing customer service and other compensation related activities.
Employment:
- Assist in providing support to the HRIS Analyst and IT Business Analyst function with relation to Human Resources data and system data tables. Provide data and analytical support in system and business process enhancements to improve and create efficiencies and for compliance with University policy and laws. Perform online data testing and troubleshoot questions related to data conversions and audit data in conversions.
- Provide support to all areas of Human Resources in the maintenance of the Human Resources website utilizing dotCMS and in the creation of departmental forms. Provide support for special projects as assigned to implement new policy, procedures, processes, and Human Resources initiatives. Provide leadership and operational support during peak periods.
- Administer the salary administration process including the preparation and distribution of salary increase worksheets for all collective bargaining and non-bargaining employees.
- Other job duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications:
- Relevant Bachelor's Degree.
- 2 years of work experience in Human Resources with 1 year being in data management or employment.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- The ability to apply and communicate critical thinking and data analysis utilizing excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong computer skills including advanced experience with Microsoft Excel to include working with formulas, pivot tables and the ability to manipulate and validate data.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with database administration, ad hoc query writing and a higher education work environment.
- Experience with Workday Enterprise Resource Planning system.
