Job Description: The Senior Data Analyst will report to the Operations Manager, overseeing the Data Management function. This team is made up of three individuals who perform various data set up, maintenance, and validation checks for the firm. This is a high profile role that offers visibility with all areas of the firm. The Data Management team is one of five groups within Operations.
Responsibilities:
- Assist in the continuous efforts to solidify data standards
- Set-up and validate security, issuer and other analytics
- Conduct integrity checks on the security universe (including analytics) to ensure accuracy and synchrony of all systems
- Research and resolve analytic discrepancies (duration, ratings, yield, etc.) including following procedures for PORT setup/maintenance
- Participate in Security and Analytics projects and ad-hoc requests as needed
- Work with Account Services team during the onboarding process to setup new securities and prepare for funding
- Liaison with other Operations team members to resolve data issues and resultant accounting issues
- Develop new data validation checks and establish processes including the checks
- Ensure data accuracy by logic checking, troubleshooting and resolution of errors
- Independently model and analyze current state processes, identify gaps, facilitate and design process changes to address those gaps and implement effective processes procedures.
- Identify and raise key risks, issues, and dependencies
- Prepare data for client reporting usage
- Data loading tasks including both data downloads to IRM systems and uploads of IRM data to external systems
Required Skills and Experience:
· 3+ years of experience in fixed income or a related industry
· Ability to thrive in a fast-paced operations group and manage multiple priorities
· Knowledge of fixed income securities
· Strong attention to detail and comfort with data related responsibilities
· Ability to trouble shoot problems and bring open issues to resolution
· Capacity to multi-task under pressure and prioritize work
· Curiosity to learn - growth mindset
· Self starter – results oriented approach
· Excellent written and oral communication skills
· Strong technical skills, Excel, Power BI, Python, etc
· Strong Bloomberg skills
· Experienced with portfolio accounting systems, such as SimCorp preferred
· Prior experience at an Investment Management shop preferred
Education Requirement:
· Bachelor’s Degree required
· CFA / progress towards CFA a plus
Base Salary Range: $85,000 - $125,000
This role is eligible for an annual performance-based bonus
