Director, Data Infrastructure

Overview

This is a high-impact, high-visibility role where you will shape the future of AAA Life’s data infrastructure and rewrite how we operate. As our first Director of Data Infrastructure, you’ll have the unique opportunity to define this role, build a scalable foundation for analytics, and drive groundbreaking change across the organization.

Responsibilities

The Role: 

You’ll work closely with executive leadership and business areas, steering critical functions, including underwriting, claims, and member services with data. Leading multi-million-dollar data infrastructure initiatives, you’ll lead a team of dedicated analysts and engineers while ensuring the data platform supports our company’s rapid growth. 

This marks a dynamic shift for AAA Life, fully supported by your leadership and demanding a bold strategic vision, unwavering resilience, and deep technical expertise. You will need to bring people with you—balancing drive and determination with empathy and teamwork to ensure alignment and adoption across the teams. Your work will enable the biggest and most meaningful changes happening within the company, and you’ll be the leader guiding your teams through this transformation. 

You’ll tackle sophisticated infrastructure challenges, quickly identifying obstacles, crafting clear, actionable strategies, and modernizing outdated processes into scalable, future-ready solutions. By eliminating bottlenecks, setting the right priorities, and articulating your vision with precision, you’ll build trust and alignment across technical teams, business leaders, and executive partners

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering or related field required. Master's degree preferred.
• 15 years of experience in the IT industry with a strong focus on application development, data architecture, cloud services, data governance, and business process optimization.
• Minimum 5 years of management experience, including responsibility for direct report's professional and technical development
• Demonstrated experience in Enterprise and Data Architecture.
• Demonstrated contract development and vendor management experience
