Position Summary
The Data Governance Analyst will play a critical role in developing and implementing data governance policies, standards, and procedures across the organization. The Data Governance Analyst will collaborate with cross-function teams of data stewards, IT teams, and business stakeholders to ensure data integrity, security, and quality. This role requires some understanding of data management principles, regulatory requirements, and industry best practices within the finance or mortgage industry.
Essential Functions
- Assist in the implementation of data governance policies, standards, and procedures to ensure data quality, integrity, and security.
- Serves as liaison with Business and Data/Technology teams to apply data standards and processes (e.g. data access, classification, quality, certification, metadata, lifecycle and retention, )
- Partners with Business and Technical Data Stewards to identify, define and maintain data definitions and corresponding metadata across business functions and data domains
- Monitor and enforce data governance policies and compliance with regulatory
- Provide support for data governance initiatives, such as data cataloging, data profiling, and data quality monitoring.
- Providing guidance and support to data stewards and business stakeholders with the identification and remediation of data-related issues
- Leads and/or supports facilitation of working groups, workshops, sessions and training to increase Data Governance Awareness and Data Literacy
- Maintain and update data governance documentation, including data dictionaries, metadata repositories, and data lineage.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Bachelors degree in Information Management, Data Science, Computer Science, Business Analytics, Mathematics, or a related field to the position, or equivalent is required.
- Masters degree in Information Management, Data Science, Computer Science, Business Analytics, Mathematics, or a related field to the position, or equivalent is required.
- A combination of education and experience may be considered in lieu of the Bachelor’s degree.
- Minimum four years' experience in data governance, data management, compliance, risk management or related roles.
- Ability to organize and manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
- Accurate data entry.

Must be able to handle confidential matters with discretion.
- Ability to work well independently or within a team.
- Strong business acumen, ability to think strategically and build effective business partnerships.
- Solid understanding of data issues that impact user experience and remediations that need to be implemented to resolve data issues, via business processes and technical capabilities.
- Knowledge of Mortgage and Privacy Laws is preferred.
- Preferred experience with Data Governance tools g. Informatica to design and build operating model, importing or exporting content, customizing dashboards & widgets, views, creating automation workflows, etc.
- Some knowledge of data management principles, data quality, data security, and regulatory requirements.
- Analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to address complex data-related issues.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey data governance concepts to technical and non-technical Should be comfortable with presenting to all levels of management.
- Strong project management skills, with a proven track record of collaborating with cross-functional teams.
- Ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment and manage multiple priorities.

Requirements
Physical: Work is primarily sedentary; mobility in an office setting.
Manual Dexterity: Ability to operate standard office equipment and keyboards
Audio/Visual: Regularly required to accurately perceive, distinguish and interpret information received visually and through audio, e.g., words, numbers and other data broadcasted aloud/viewed on a screen, as well as print and other media.
Environmental: Office environment – moderate noise, no substantial exposure to adverse environmental conditions.
Mental: Learn new tasks, remember processes, maintain focus, complete tasks independently, and make timely decisions in the context of a workflow.
Schedules: Work is primarily performed during the business week, Monday - Friday.
Travel: 5% or less

Compensation at Guild is influenced by a wide array of factors including but not limited to local and federal minimum wage requirements, education, level of experience, and applicant’s geographical location.
