Senior Data Engineer (Atlanta, GA): Serve as a core and professional member of our Data Engineering practice to build and operationalize complex data solutions, as well as apply transformations and data cleaning and data quality solutions. Work with business stakeholders and the delivery team to identify high-value business problems to solve through the application of data processing and analytical systems. Assess end user requirements to determine feasibility of solution design. Develop, expand, and evolve existing databases and ETL pipelines. Design, build, and support a transformational Databricks cloud data platform for the business to enhance performance and functionality. Assess business requirements, refine development tasks, and estimate their complexity. Research, evaluate, and adopt new technologies with optimal tools for the solution. Ensure speed of delivery and quality of appropriate solutions. Collaborate with teams to ensure prompt progression of projects from proof-of-concept to post-production stage. Communicate and present ideas to colleagues in all parts of the wider data team. Participate in code reviews for the Data Engineering practice. Design and implement CI/CD pipelines in Azure DevOps for cloud data platform application and infrastructure. Assess database performance and modify systems to improve performance. Work with modern cloud data lake house technologies; data engineering (SQL/Python); Infrastructure as Code using Terraform; CI/CD; writing, testing, and deploying code using DevOps; DevOps Pipelines (Azure, AWS, or GCP); and, collaborating with technical and non-technical team members in Agile Scrum ceremonies. Req’s Bachelor’s degree plus 5 yrs exp.
