Job Summary:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and highly collaborative Master Data Analyst to join our Record-to-Report (R2R) team. This role focuses on ensuring master data accuracy across multiple domains, promoting data governance, and driving continuous improvement within a shared services environment. The position requires strong problem-solving skills, leadership capabilities, and a passion for delivering high-quality results.
What Shared Services Does:
A Shared Services Center (SSC) centralizes critical business processes, streamlining operations, reducing costs, and delivering consistent quality. By consolidating areas suchas finance, procurement, payroll, and reporting, SSC eliminates duplication, frees time for strategic priorities, and fosters efficiency. SSC's primary functions include:
- O2C (Opportunity-to-Cash): Manages the customer journey from order to payment, driving smoother revenue processes.
- R2R (Record-to-Report): Enables robust financial reporting and accounting.
- P2P (Procure-to-Pay): Ensures timely vendor payments and strong supplier relationships.
- Center of Excellence: Drives innovation and continuous improvement.
- Payroll (Hire-to-Retire): Ensures accurate, compliant employee payments.
- Shared Services enables companies to focus on growth and strategic goals while maintaining operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities:
- Foster a culture of continuous improvement to optimize master data processes.
- Perform updates to master data across domains, including customer, vendor, and material.
- Ensure the cleanliness, accuracy, and integrity of master data sources and enterprise data structures (e.g., cost center and profit center hierarchies).
- Monitor and enforce adherence to master data controls and governance standards.
- Analyze master data to identify trends and improve business processes and efficiency.
- Collaborate with teams across localized operating companies to maintain seamless master data management.
- Provide insights and suggest enhancements to SAP code block elements and the chart of accounts.
- Identify and resolve performance issues, application errors, and change requests.
- Drive process improvements and automation initiatives to increase efficiency and reduce manual tasks.
- Support data governance initiatives across the enterprise, promoting adherence to policies and standards.
- Complete assigned tasks with accuracy and attention to detail, supporting professional development and innovative thinking within the team.
Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience (required).
- Experience:
- Minimun 2 years of experience with SAP or equivalent ERP in a shared services environment (required).
- Experience in finance and accounting functions (preferred).
- Familiarity with designing and standardizing transactional processes (preferred).
- Working knowledge of the building products/construction industry (preferred).
- Skills:
- Strong problem-solving skills combined with confident, informed decision-making.
- Proven ability to implement process improvements and leverage technology for efficiency gains.
- Familiarity with data governance, quality, and stewardship principles.
- Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills across diverse audiences.
- Proficiency in ERP software (e.g., SAP S/4HANA).
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and the ability to manage competing priorities.
- Team-oriented mindset with a focus on collaboration and customer service excellence.
Work Environment:
- Hybrid role with 3 days in office and fully in office for the first 6 months.
- Normal office working conditions with a quiet noise level.
