Sr Director, Machine Learning

We are seeking an experienced and visionary Sr Director, Machine Learning to lead and manage our team of talented machine learning engineers. In this role, you will be responsible for overseeing the development and deployment of machine learning models and systems that drive our healthcare software solutions. You will work closely with cross-functional teams, including data scientists, software engineers, and healthcare professionals, to ensure the successful integration of machine learning technologies into our products. 

Your Impact: 

• Lead and manage a team of Senior Machine Learning Engineers, providing guidance, mentorship, and support to ensure their professional growth and success. 

• Develop and execute the strategic vision for machine learning initiatives within the company, aligning with overall business goals and objectives. 

• Oversee the design, development, and deployment of machine learning models and systems, ensuring they are scalable, efficient, and reliable. 

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate machine learning solutions into our software products, enhancing their functionality and performance. 

• Stay up-to-date with the latest advancements in machine learning and artificial intelligence, and apply them to our projects to maintain a competitive edge. 

• Communicate findings, progress, and strategic plans to stakeholders, including executive leadership, technical teams, and non-technical audiences. 

• Foster a collaborative and inclusive work environment, promoting innovation, creativity, and continuous improvement. 

What you bring: 

• Master's or Ph.D. in Computer Science, Machine Learning, Data Science, or a related field. 

• 10+ years of experience in machine learning and software engineering, with a strong background in healthcare applications. 

• Proven track record of leading and managing high-performing teams of machine learning engineers. 

• Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, Java, or C++. 

• Experience with machine learning frameworks and libraries such as TensorFlow, PyTorch, or scikit-learn. 

• Strong understanding of software engineering principles, including version control, testing, and continuous integration. 

• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to think critically and strategically. 

• Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively with diverse teams and stakeholders. 

Bonus points: 

• Experience with healthcare data standards and regulations (e.g., HIPAA). 

• Knowledge of natural language processing (NLP) and computer vision techniques. 

• Familiarity with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
