The Role

We are looking for a Vice President Data Analyst to play a key role in structuring fund administration datasets and defining data products for internal and external use. This person will be responsible for analysing data, creating structured datasets, and ensuring they are accessible via analytics tools, dashboards, and APIs.

Key Responsibilities:

Data Product Development & Structuring:

  • Define, structure, and document core datasets
  • Work with internal teams to prioritize and build high-value datasets from structured financial data.
  • Create SQL views, structured queries, and metadata documentation to ensure data is usable for reporting and decision-making.

Data Analysis & Quality Review:

  • Explore large-scale financial datasets to identify gaps, inconsistencies, and transformation needs.
  • Ensure data models support accurate, scalable, and repeatable reporting.
  • Work closely with data engineers to optimize datasets for performance and accessibility.

BI, Reporting, & Dashboard Development:

  • Develop dashboards & visualizations to make data accessible to internal teams and external users.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders (finance, risk, compliance, investor relations) to ensure output meets consumer needs.
  • Support self-service analytics adoption by providing structured, pre-built data sets and data models.
  • Work closely with internal API and platform teams to ensure datasets are structured for external access.
  • Ensure proper data governance and security while making structured datasets accessible for various users.
  • Act as a bridge between business teams & data engineering to align technical data models with business needs.

About You:

  • 6-10 years of experience as a Data Analyst, Fund Accountant (with strong SQL), or BI Developer in asset management, hedge funds, private equity, or financial services.
  • Industry knowledge – Open to Fund Administration, Asset Management and Tech Industries.
  • Understanding of how fund data is structured & reconciled.
  • Experience working with structured and semi-structured data in cloud-based environments.
  • Previous experience structuring & documenting financial datasets for analytics & reporting.
  • Hands-on experience with cloud-based data platforms & SQL-based data modelling.
  • Strong problem-solving ability & critical thinking in data structuring.
  • Experience working cross-functionally with finance, compliance, risk, & product teams.

Technical Skills

Advanced SQL (Databricks, Snowflake, PostgreSQL, or similar) – Strong ability to write & optimize queries.

ETL / Data Modelling (dbt, Dataflows, SQL Views, or similar tools) – Experience structuring financial datasets.

Python (Pandas, PySpark, or NumPy – Optional) – Nice-to-have for automation & advanced data transformation.

BI & Data Visualization (Power BI, Tableau, Looker, or similar) – Nice-to-have Experience building dashboards for fund performance, investor analytics, and financial reporting.
