Since 2015, Agilytic has helped organizations reach their goals through the smarter use of data and AI. With over 300 successful projects completed in Belgium and abroad, we strive to be a leading boutique firm delivering high-impact solutions for marketing, operations, and finance decision-makers.

To sustain the growth in our Data Engineering practice, we are seeking an entrepreneurial project manager. You will oversee data engineers throughout the entire project lifecycle—from drafting proposals to delivering results. Your role includes ensuring projects follow our methodology and quality standards while staying within budget.

While regular presence at client offices is required, we offer flexible and hybrid working arrangements. Our main offices are in Brussels' city center, across the street from Central Station.

As a coach, you will help colleagues develop the business and technical skills needed to effectively manage their own projects.

Key responsibilities

  • Collaborate with IT/data specialists and business executives (marketing, operations, finance, customer care)
  • Lead end-to-end project delivery, from proposal development to final implementation
  • Build and nurture client relationships while managing key accounts
  • Mentor and guide team members
  • Lead internal initiatives to improve the way we work at Agilytic

Requirements

We are looking for strong candidates with a master's in engineering, computer science or any relevant scientific field and at least five years of demonstrable professional experience in:

  • Leading data engineering projects from kick-off to final delivery
  • Managing technical teams, including both technical and managerial oversight
  • Client and stakeholder relationship management
  • Working with ETL and statistical packages (Python, Spark)
  • Working with cloud data environments (AWS, Azure, GCP)
  • Programming in at least one data language (Scala, Spark, SQL), with required Python proficiency

Additional requirements:

  • Proven track record in project and stakeholder management
  • Fluency in English and either French or Dutch
  • Valid type B driving license (Belgian car license) or equivalent
  • Eligibility to work in Belgium and the European Union (please be aware that we cannot provide relocation support)

We are also looking for the following attributes:

  • Strong problem-solving skills and drive to find solutions in a client-facing role
  • Ability to communicate effectively with all stakeholders—from front-line staff to executives, technical and non-technical alike
  • Skill in analyzing large datasets and distilling key insights that serve business objectives
  • Strong commitment to quality work
  • Alignment with our company values
  • Empathy, humility, and a "Servant Leadership" approach to management
  • Enthusiasm for contributing to our growing, entrepreneurial organization and helping shape its future
  • Natural problem-solving mindset
  • Passion for learning new technologies and eagerness to share knowledge with the team

Benefits

We aim at creating a work environment that allows you to do great work, grow your skillset and, most importantly, be happy while doing it.

  • We offer a competitive remuneration package, complete with variable incentives, a mobility budget, phone subscription, laptop, meal vouchers, etc.
  • We are flexible on remote working options, as long as it fits with our clients' best interests. Keep in mind our projects require a minimum level of "on premise" implication. As a manager, in-person coaching remains essential too.
  • Training roadmap: we will draft together a training roadmap, taking into consideration the organization's skills matrix as well as your interests.
  • Supportive structure and transparency: we practice radical candor. We care personally about everyone, but we challenge each other constructively and directly.
  • Modern tools: tools are a means to an end. We want them to help you do your best work, not become a bottleneck. That's why you can expect up-to-date hardware and software tools so that you (hopefully) never have to swear at your computer.
  • Oh, and a little bit of fun too: we take our work very seriously, but we're not afraid to laugh at ourselves. Life is too short.

Equal opportunity notice

We believe diversity breeds excellence. We are committed to providing employees with a safe work environment, free of discrimination and harassment. We base our remuneration structure and decision-making processes on business needs, job requirements, and individual qualifications, without regard to race, belief, nationality, age, gender, or sexual orientation.

We also expect all colleagues to apply these principles in their respective roles.
