Position Summary

PGA TOUR Superstore is looking for a data enthusiast who can help take the golf industry’s premier retailer to new heights by unlocking the power of data. The Data Warehouse Architect is a critical member of the Enterprise Data team who will be responsible for designing and building the critical data architecture that powers PGA TOUR Superstore’s Enterprise Data Warehouse. This individual will have opportunities to work with teams producing and consuming data across the organization to understand completed data flows, modeling enterprise data into valuable business insights, and interacting with business stakeholders to understand data needs and opportunities.

Duties and Responsibilities: 

  • Working with various stakeholders to understand new sources of data, business needs, and define an integration pattern with an enterprise data platform.

  • Design, develop, and optimize data models in a cloud data warehouse platform to support complex BI reporting needs.

  • Create visually appealing dashboards and other data presentation capabilities.

  • Integrate data from various sources across the enterprise into unified structures, ensuring data consistency and reliability across the organization. Implement best practices for data governance, access control, and security within the BI environment.

  • Monitor and optimize the performance of BI solutions, ensuring quick response times and accuracy.

  • Provide training and support to less technical end-users on BI tools and functionalities.

Qualifications and Skills Required:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Analytics, or a related field.

  • 5+ years’ experience in business intelligence, data engineering, analytics, data science, or a similar role.

  • Proven experience with a modern cloud data warehousing platform including data modeling, query optimization, and best practices. (Snowflake experience preferred).

  • Extensive experience with a modern data visualization tool, including the ability to create complex reports and dashboards. (Power Bi experience preferred).

  • Expertise in SQL with experience in complex data transformation and translating open-ended business questions into queries and insights.

  • Knowledge of at least one scripting language. (Python experience preferred).

  • Familiarity with ETL tools and processes.

  • Retail experience is a plus.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.

  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.

  • Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.

Work Environment and Physical Requirements: 

  • Must be able to stand and/or sit for extended periods of time as the job is completed primarily at a desk each day. Variable desk heights are offered so alternatively sitting and/or standing at the desk is optional. 

  • Flexibility to work extended and varied hours as needed.
