Job Description:

This IT Application Developer Position is for the Data Management team and will provide a wide range of data integration and data analysis, configuration, modeling, development, and implementation activities utilizing any number of the analytics and reporting platforms within the State's IT environment. This individual will perform activities to learn new products, support and maintain data models, reports, dashboards, and associated solutions for various agencies within the State under the guidance of Senior and Lead Developers.

Hours: 8-5, Monday - Friday.

Location: 501 S 14th Street, Lincoln, NE 68508 - In office position

 

Job Duties:

An IT Applications Developer will consult, configure, and deploy agency solutions within the data analysis and reporting scope. Examples of work include, but are not limited to:

• Consulting with customers and SQL DBA’s to collect functional and data requirements.
• Information collection, and preparing the business problem definition
• Help develop State Data Standards & Guidelines
• Quick to learn the Data platform (State Data Fabric) Solution and help integrate and configure solution(s)
• Help build our reporting data platform
• Transform Structured and unstructured data to help modernize our platform for Analytic readiness
• Help fine-tune AI models
• Help with Power BI to visualize the data products for our Agencies.
• Development and delivery of support material
• Creating and managing test data
• Develops, publishes, schedules, and maintains reports, dashboards, or other data visualizations.
• Creatively find ways to improve data visuals through integrations, analytics, and AI

Supports continuous improvement towards increasing efficiency

Requirements / Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications: Experience, education, or training in coding computer applications.

Preferred Qualifications: Education or experience of ETL processes, Power BI services, using Data in any Cloud environment, SQL databases, Object Oriented technology, AWS Services (learnt or worked with some of the data services – Networking & Content Delivery, Data Warehouse, Database, Storage. Compute, Application Integration, Analytics, Machine Learning, Migration and Transfer, Security, Identity & Compliance, Management & Governance, Containers and Financial management)

Other: The candidate should be open and willing to learn new skills very quickly and work in a team setup.  This position is an in-person only and located in Lincoln and may have an option in the future for Omaha Satellite office location. Regular and Reliable attendance is required.
