Role Overview:
This position is for a senior data analyst within the CFO Data Management Products team supporting Deposits, General Ledger and Customer Profitability data. This team drives research and change activities related to data solutions to source, transform and provision data to business consumers across Finance such as Regulatory Reporting, Global Liquidity Management, Capital, Customer Profitability and others.
This includes gathering and interpreting data requirements, leading data research and analysis, designing data mapping and transformation logic, partnering with technology to develop data solutions, and performing data testing. This position will be exposed to multiple data sources, Finance data consumers and Enterprise Data Management (EDM) processes and will be aligned to a key strategic priority of the Enterprise to streamline and control data management processes.
Responsibilities:
Partner with and lead associates, contractors and consultants located around the world in various functional groups from around the Enterprise (Finance, Treasury, Accounting, Technology, Data Management, Project Management and LOB stakeholders) to implement data initiatives.
Analyze & document data requirements for a variety of CFO business use cases according to EDM policies (e.g. lineage, controls, process mapping, etc.).
Perform data flow research and analyze data sources to design data mapping and transformation solutions.
Complete all required documentation during each phase of project implementation (for example: impact assessment, data flow design specifications, source to target mapping logic, test scenarios scripts & planning).
Deliver solutions that meet all business requirements accurately and on-time.
Support production data control processes including data analysis, issue research and resolution.
Appropriately manage time commitments to handle multiple initiatives with competing priorities
Required Skills & Experience:
Bachelor's Degree (Accounting, Finance, Information Systems Management & Technology, Computer Science etc.)
Proven experience from the Financial Services industry with knowledge of database structures, data sourcing, data warehousing finance and accounting concepts
Extensive experience performing data analysis with demonstrated ability to research, understand and drive data solutions
Basic to advanced SQL experience and understanding of relational databases
Advanced Microsoft Office suite software skills (Excel, Access, Word, SharePoint, One Note)
Significant experience in data/risk assessments and remediation efforts
Desired Skills & Experience:
Experience with Data Management, data warehousing and large data concepts and tools
Experience with Oracle, SQL Server, Alteryx, Teradata, DB2, Netezza, Hadoop, SAP eLedger, Rally, Visio, ETL tools and Data Management tools
Knowledge of Global Technology, Enterprise Data Management & Enterprise Data Architecture programs, strategies and standards
Finance, Regulatory Reporting and/or Treasury experience
