Airbus is looking for one Technical Lead BigData  to join in Bangalore, India.

The successful candidate will assess and understand business needs and translate such into IT solutions.

• Engineering graduate/post-graduate with 9 - 13 years of experience in developing, delivering Foundry based solutions. 

• Working closely with Product Owner to analyze, assess and understand business needs and translate such into Foundry solutions.

 

Essential Skills

• Understand the business needs and strategic objectives from a various range of functional areas and converting them into a technical need for the team 

• High level of energy, strong drive & ability to adjust to changing priorities.

• Strong Team player and keeps the team motivated

• Strong coding abilities using Java ,  Python & PySpark and their related frameworks

• Knowledge with Palantir Foundry platform 

• Knowledge on: Foundry platform.

• Experience with Foundry platform, building and deploying solutions using Slate, Code workbook , Code Authoring and other related Foundry tools.

• Knowledge on some of the Spark & Spark-SQL with Python .

• Experience with writing Javascript, html, css

• Knowledge on some of the following products/tools: Git, Confluence, VersionOne etc

• Analyze the technology environment, conduct an architectural system evaluation (including security risks) and take part in the technology selection process

• Strong understanding of software engineering concepts and principles

• Strong experience in designing robust, elastic, scalable software architecture

• Be familiar with Agile methodology, Safe methodology 

• Strong knowledge in basic DevOps tools such as Git, Github, Jenkins, Nexus, Artifactory, Splunk, Jira & Confluence

• Advanced usage of major IDEs (IntelliJ, PyCharm & VSCode)

• Strong experience in IT integration

• Proven track record of building and maintaining applications at scale

 

 Others:

• Proven track record working in Agile Scrum and/or Kanban projects

• Knowledge of continuous integration frameworks and some of the following products/tools: VersionOne , etc.

• Willing to work in CET / IST timezone based on project need

Responsibilities:

• Designing solutions to meet functional and non-functional requirements at scale for business needs and also promote the products 

• Ensure consistency of the architecture regarding Airbus Enterprise Architecture, being proactive and demonstrating leadership in influencing the IT ecosystem towards Big Data  Product integration (You are our technical ambassador !)

• Involvement in the full delivery lifecycle – responsible for designing, implementing, testing, documenting, supporting and operating Foundry based applications.

• Implementing new tools and enhancing the existing tools & data products built on top of the foundry platform.

• Produce expected deliverables like Security Dossier, Architecture Dossier required for deployment in Airbus Perimeter

• Lead the delivery of functional and conceptual architecture 

• Ensure that Architecture patterns & Security Guidelines are known and applied

• Developing, updating and using CI/CD of data pipeline to allow fully automated deployments of IT assets across all environments from Development, Q&A and Production

• Participate in the elaboration of the solution delivery, the end-to-end product lifecycle, the roadmap of solutions, the product strategy 

• Participate in the team to ensure the product / service lifecycle meets quality, service commitments and Business Needs

• Participate in all phases of the application development life cycle including research and design, development, testing, implementation and support

• Act as visionary to proactively assist in defining the direction for future IT Products & Services and validates product designs

• Involvement in the full delivery lifecycle – responsible for designing, implementing, testing, documenting, supporting and operating libraries & frameworks.

• Implementing test automation covering multiple test aspects, like unit testing, functional testing, security testing, load and performance testing.

• Maintain & optimize governance standard documentation (Procedure, Method and Guidelines)

• Packaging, maintaining and deploying development tooling 

• Publishing and maintaining high quality technical documentation such as guidances

• Coaching, mentoring and enabling other Software Engineers

• Responsible for tech watching

• Autonomous with excellent communication skills, displaying an ability to take initiative with a pragmatic mind-set

• Team player with a positive and curious mind and make a healthy environment with team 

• Sense of details and passion for software and technologies that solve problems of business
