Job Description

In this role, you will develop and maintain digital tools that will enable the CPFD team to plan and implement field trials as well as summarize field trial data. You will enable process improvement and automation of field trial planning, data collection, data exportation, and data storage to ensure CP R&D objectives are answered in a timely, efficient, and effective manner. 

Duties:

• Lead support activities for CPFD by collaborating with field scientists, protocol sponsors, data management, and data science teams. 
• Maintain the suite of tools used by CPFD (Protocol Download Tool, Presentation Upload/Download tool, Photo Retrieval tool, Workslate, etc) for planning, implementation, data summaries.
• Provide user training on proprietary tools for electronic data capture (i.e. EZCap, ARM, etc) and developing data summaries (i.e. ChartCraft).
• Assist in the improvement and development of digital tools that will drive the efficiency and effectiveness of field trialing, data capture, and data quality.
• Engage with the CP R&D scientific community to identify opportunities for process improvement and digital resource improvement.  
• Support and maintain customized hardware, software, and websites utilized by Crop Protection Field Development.
• Identify and anticipate broader organizational needs to deliver timely and innovative digital solutions. 
• Serve on cross-functional teams to develop, test, and launch new digital applications that will address organizational needs. 

Qualifications

• BA, BS or Associate degree with applicable experience.
• Proven ability to recognize organizational needs, develop solutions, and bring ideas to life.
• IT technical knowledge and the ability to manage IT projects.
• Knowledge of commonly used system to develop applications (i.e. Python, SQL, and R Shiny).
• Familiarity or ability to learn and understand agricultural systems, crop protection, or agronomics practices. 
• Understanding of data management, data science, and process improvement.
