Our work ensures the Roblox platform remains compliant with evolving global regulations, safeguarding our diverse user base. Furthermore, you'll contribute to our Content Policy Platform, empowering teams across Roblox to add and manage content access policies that are critical to our platform's integrity and safety. This is an opportunity to build impactful solutions that directly influence the creator experience and the safety of millions of users worldwide.

You Will:

• Contribute to the architecture and development of our Content Policy Platform, a high-throughput service handling millions of requests per second for content access decisions across the Roblox platform.
• Design, develop, and maintain robust backend systems and tooling to support Roblox's age-differentiated content initiatives, including Content Maturity (e.g., 17+ experiences).
• Build and scale systems that ensure Roblox's platform-wide compliance with evolving regional regulations, safeguarding our global user base.
• Collaborate closely with ML engineers to drive the continuous productionization and improvement of machine learning models that automatically review Content Maturity questionnaires and detect other regional policy violations at scale across millions of experiences.
• Take ownership of projects from concept to deployment, ensuring high quality, reliability, and scalability.
• Help shape the future of responsible content handling on a massive scale, directly impacting millions of creators and users.

You Have:

• 4+ years building highly available, large-scale distributed backend systems.
• 4+ years delivering and maintaining production software for large-scale applications.
• Proficient in C#, Java, Go, or similar OOP languages with strong design principles.
• Excellent cross-team collaborator with a drive to complete projects.
• Curious and proactive in learning new technologies and growing technical skills.

For roles that are based at our headquarters in San Mateo, CA: The starting base pay for this position is as shown below. The actual base pay is dependent upon a variety of job-related factors such as professional background, training, work experience, location, business needs and market demand. Therefore, in some circumstances, the actual salary could fall outside of this expected range. This pay range is subject to change and may be modified in the future. All full-time employees are also eligible for equity compensation and for benefits.

Annual Salary Range$192,890—$238,520 USD

Roles that are based in our San Mateo, CA Headquarters are in-office Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday, with optional in-office on Monday and Friday (unless otherwise noted).
