We seek an accomplished professional in artificial intelligence, machine learning, or physics to lead transformative initiatives as a Senior Innovation Developer within our dynamic Innovation Group. In this role, you will direct AI-driven solutions, apply plasma physics expertise, and guide a multidisciplinary team using Python. Candidates with advanced AI/ML expertise or a physics background—particularly in plasma science—coupled with professional AI/ML experience are encouraged to apply. This position offers a unique opportunity to advance semiconductor technologies and achieve global impact.

What You’ll Do:

  • Lead the design and development of advanced AI and machine learning models, integrating plasma physics insights to innovate semiconductor solutions, such as plasma etch and deposition.
  • Utilize Python libraries (e.g., Pandas, NumPy, Scikit-learn, TensorFlow, PyTorch) to architect and prototype cutting-edge ML systems, leveraging Linux environments. Able to expand programming expertise to other languages such as C++ and Java.
  • Drive complex AI and physics-driven projects, collaborating with engineering, application, and customer support teams to deliver market-ready products.
  • Mentor and coach team members, fostering expertise in AI, ML, and physics within the Innovation Group, and assume leadership roles as required.
  • Shape our AI-powered product roadmap, identifying new opportunities by adapting technologies from diverse fields.
  • Build strong customer partnerships, communicating technical benefits and supporting global projects, with occasional international travel.

What We’re Looking For:

  • A PhD or equivalent professional experience in either:
    • Computer Science, Data Science, or a related field with advanced expertise in AI/ML, including building and deploying AI solutions; or
    • Physics (plasma physics or related fields preferred) with professional experience in AI/ML applications in a development context.
  • Alternatively, a mid/senior AI/ML engineer or computer scientist with strong object-oriented programming skills, efficient testing, and experience leading mid-scale development projects.
  • Advanced proficiency in at least one of Python, C++, Fortran, Julia, or Java, with experience in AI/ML libraries (e.g., Pandas, NumPy, Scikit-learn, TensorFlow, PyTorch) and familiarity with Linux environments.
  • Strong understanding of physics and engineering principles, ideally with plasma physics knowledge relevant to semiconductor processing.
  • Exceptional communication and leadership skills to mentor team members, engage customers, and present complex concepts to diverse audiences.
  • Insatiable curiosity, resilience, and a proactive approach to innovation, with the capacity to generate innovative technical solutions.
