Information Technology Intern

Overview

Presbyterian Homes & Services - Corporate IT is seeking an Information Technology Intern for its team for a summer internship.

 

This position is a full-time, temporary position based on project volume with an anticipation of working up to 40 hours per week while on assignment.  Oniste employment requirements apply

 

The term of the internship will be approximately 3 months.

Responsibilities

The Data Scientist Intern will assist with supporting data-driven decision-making processes within the organization. This role involves working with large datasets, performing data analysis, and developing predictive models to provide actionable insights. The intern will collaborate with various teams to ensure the successful implementation of data science projects across the company.

 

Key responsibilities include:

• Performing exploratory data analysis to identify trends and patterns.
• Collecting, cleaning, and preprocessing data from various sources.
• Developing and validating predictive models using statistical and machine learning techniques.
• Collaborating with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements and translate them into data science solutions.
• Communicating findings and insights through data visualizations and reports.
• Assisting in the deployment and monitoring of data science models in production.
• Staying updated on industry trends and emerging technologies in data science and analytics.
• Performing other duties and responsibilities as necessary.
• This position will collaborate with the Data Scientist and the internal full-stack developer to understand and assist the interoperability between the two disciplines.

Qualifications

 

• Currently pursuing a degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, or a related field.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Proficiency in programming languages such as Python or R.
• Familiarity with data analysis and visualization tools (e.g., PowerBI).
• Familiarity with machine learning frameworks (e.g., Scikit-learn, TensorFlow, PyTorch).
• Familiarity with SQL and database management.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks effectively.

Pay Range

The estimated starting pay range for this role is $16.00 - $18.00 per hour. This good faith estimate is based upon PHS’s typical starting pay range for this role. Actual pay range depends on many factors including each individual employee’s qualifications and market conditions and is subject to change.
