We are looking for talented, self-starters with a passion for data & analytics to join our growing team. As an Data Architect - Commercial within the Data Architecture team, you will responsible to define and socialise the domain, goal and reference data architecture within the commercial domain. Main subjects of this function are: data architecture (guidelines & standards), data flows, data modelling and metadata management.

Responsibilities & Deliverables:

• Contribute to and share the enterprise wide conceptual, subject area and logical data models within the Commercial Domain to help Brenntag business and IT programms understand our master data (e.g. Sales, Marketing, Product, Customer, Customer Service, Suppliers etc.).
• Help Brenntag business and programms understand the flow of data through the organisation and their systems for the commercial domain
• Define and own the commercial domain data architecture within the guidelines set by security, privacy, data governance, enterprise architecture, data architecture and business requirements for the commercial domain.
• Understand, socialise and guide new initiatives from the data architecture perspective within the Commercial Domain.
• Support and guide the solution and data architecture within the commercial scope/platforms, collaborating closely with application and solution architects overseeing the architecture for the entire Commercial Domain.
• Provide architectural design for commercial data and contribute to the roadmap, leveraging expertise in defined reference architectures, technology trends, and implementation experience to translate business needs into comprehensive solution blueprints.
• Assess organizational and financial impacts of data architecture in collaboration with regional teams, identifying implications for skills, processes, structures, and culture.
• Define guidelines & standards to ensure alignment of product-based decisions with the enterprise's future-state architecture vision.

Ideal profile

We are looking for a enthusiastic senior data architects for the Master Data Domain with the following characteristics.

• Good understanding of Data & architecture frameworks like DMBOK or TOGAF, data modelling, data quality, data flows and thorough understanding of data mesh principles and commercial data.
• 5+ years of experience as an data architect within a international environment on the commercial domain.
• 5+ years of Experience with SAP & SalesForce.
• Excellent communication skills: Both written and verbal communication skills are essential.
• Enthusiasm and adaptability: A willingness to learn, take initiative, and adapt to the evolving needs of the team.
• Knows how to facilitate workshop with business and technical stakeholders.
• Experience within the Chemical industry is a big plus.
• Proficient verbal and written English
