Solution Engineer

Private Label Solutions is an entrepreneurial start-up inside the world’s biggest travel company. We build technology that helps millions of travelers find the best hotel at the right time for their next unforgettable trip.

Expedia is looking for a solution architect with strong software development experience and a deep curiosity for AI — someone who thrives at the intersection of business and technology, and is excited to innovate and prototype what’s next in travel.

What you'll do:

• Define software and solution packages that solve the evolving needs of our partners, including hands-on prototyping of AI-powered capabilities

• Be part of our amazing technology organization within Expedia Group where you will learn and grow as a key contributor to our engineering teams, playing a critical role in working closely with our teams as well as top travel industry client partners

• Explore the art of the possible by experimenting with emerging technologies, building functional prototypes, and validating new concepts with internal teams and partners

• You will work with partners, sales, and incubation teams to gain a clear understanding of the overall business goals and objectives of our partners, developing code and crafting LLM prompts that power intelligent, context-aware travel experiences

• You will understand any opportunities or gaps in the technology supporting their business and build solutions that address this by leveraging the technology and capabilities within Expedia’s Travel Platform

• You will map out the necessary components to design an overall package of solutions

• In selecting the right technology to address partner needs, you will also incorporate several technology architectural and operational considerations in the overall design and approach for the solution, including consideration for security, resiliency, and integration standard methodologies while incorporating partner and internal system requirements

• Serve as the primary technical interface with the partner, helping bring ideas to life through a mix of storytelling, demos, and delivery

Who are you:

• A hands-on software developer with experience coding and deploying prototypes

• Comfortable working with large language models and modern AI toolchains — ideally including prompt design and evaluation

• Experienced in sophisticated technology problems and able to communicate them to non-technical people

• Worked interacting directly with clients and capable of mapping business problems with technology solutions

• Curious, collaborative, and driven to explore new technologies with a bias for experimentation

• Choose fearlessly – Build a clear vision of client needs, apply analytical and technical skills, and define the solution that best solves the opportunity

• Include consciously – Bringing in others and collaborating with teams across Expedia Group's travel platform will unlock the best possible solutions for our clients

• Bring the client perspective back into our travel ecosystem
