In Fortune Brands Innovation, Inc. we're looking a Senior Data Analyst for our New Innovation Center in Nuevo Leon, this role is responsible for product master data integrity, governing the Enterprise Change Management (ECM) process, and ensuring that product changes are executed with speed and accuracy across both Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) and Enterprise Requirements Planning (ERP) environments within Fortune Brands Innovations (FBIN). The scope of work includes sustaining and improving the processes related to creation and maintenance of master data across multiple systems, resolving data issues, identifying further process improvement needs, and supporting data changes and change control throughout the entire product lifecycle in both PLM & ERP environments.
Job Description
- Responsible for processes and process execution to assure the accurate creation and maintenance of product information starting with PLM bills of material (BOM) and associated documentation, and on into manufacturing ERP BOM structures and material revisions.
- Assure all product data is completed when needed, is accurate, up to date, and consistent with data governance policies.
- Manages the ECM process in support of multiple global partners including Product Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, and Firmware/Software), Platform Management, NPD Project Management, Technical Illustrations, Product Compliance, Manufacturing, Sourcing, Quality, Product Marketing, and integrated external suppliers. Provide user training on a regular basis.
- Responsible for maintaining, understanding, and governing end-to-end data structure; including multiple sources of truth, intersystem connectivity and dependencies, numerous functional groups, and several downstream consumers and data output forms as it relates to product creation, BOM management, and product labelling.
- Handles the set-up, approval, and maintenance of necessary product records and ensure that all product data is stored or published within the correct systems.
- Accurately create and maintain product information from CAD level component data through PLM bills of material (BOM) and associated documentation, and on into manufacturing ERP BOM structures and material revisions.
- Manages global part creation, BOM, and label processes. Review and analyze processes for efficiency gains supporting a global process servicing all brands. Takes leading role for all process changes and issue resolution.
- Reviews and analyzes process metrics and to develop strategies for further efficiency within the product data realm. Leads optimization and redesign of process flows to meet business efficiency goals, execute with infrastructure support team and business stakeholders to implement improvements.
- Identifies, proposes, and influences business solutions impacting GPD processes and product master data. Provides training, as necessary, for continuous development and improvement for impacted groups
- Attract, develop, and retain talent needed to successfully execute ECM in support of Global Product Development, Engineering, and Innovation strategies. Deliver skill development programs necessary to assure technical competencies are aligned to achieve goals.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, technology, information technology, systems, management or related field is required
- Valid Visa
- Availability to Travel
- Minimum 5 years of related experience in engineering change management, BOM maintenance/transformation, data management, and change control within an ERP/PLM environment.
- Must have subject matter expertise in engineering change control processes connected to a distributed manufacturing environment, linking engineering PLM systems with manufacturing ERP systems. Preferred platforms include:
- SolidWorks & Altium CAD
- Dassault 3D Experience/Enovia PLM
- SAP and/or Oracle ERP.
- Ability to effectively manage change and complex organizational projects, navigate and influence others in a matrixed environment (management experience preferred), deliver tough messages and resolve conflict. Demonstrated success assessing and managing risk in complex and ambiguous situations.
- Great written and spoken English communication.
- Strong interpersonal skills with demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional stakeholders across multiple geographic locations.
- Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office Suite
- Demonstrated sense of urgency and ability to persevere to reach objectives for challenging problems.
- Demonstrated passion for learning, adoption of new technology, and independent decision-making.
- Must possess excellent organizational skills and be able to deal with fluctuating priorities; be a self-starter and work with minimum supervision.
- Must be willing and eager to expand knowledge of new custom products.
- Strong leadership and problem-solving skills necessary.
- Ability to work as a team player.
