Lead sourcing strategies and teams that create efficiency, foster trust, and drive long-term value for Sutter Health. Develop and cultivate a collaborative sourcing structure, ensuring alignment with business priorities and enterprise goals. Create and guide an inclusive corporate indirect spend plan, optimizing cost while strengthening supplier partnerships. Sets direction, priorities, and allocates resources to align with business objectives and annual plan. Develops and establishes the direction of policies and procedures and sets a structure for providing a safe and productive work environment. Establishes overall operating and capital budget with input from management team, ensuring financial targets are achieved and variances are addressed timely. Works with senior leadership, clinical and non-clinical leadership, value analysis leadership and analyst leadership with support of all teams to ensure indirect sourcing department and processes have timely review and response to all product needs. Has system wide responsibility for all non-clinical spend including services, information services, environmental services, food services and clinical engineering. Primary responsibilities include setting the strategic direction for the indirect sourcing categories and implementing long term strategies necessary to operate, maintain, and plan for Sutter Health in a "best in class" manner. Provides a strategic perspective in support of the implementation of strategic sourcing across Sutter Health.Sets strategy for purchasing operations that align with the growth plans of Sutter Health. Streamlining the experience of requesting the supplies needed to provide care. Using technology up to and including a new enterprise resource planning system to control the cost of operations while ensuring simplicity of purchasing goods. This is a hybrid position and will require onsite presence as needed.

TYPICAL EXPERIENCE:
- 8 years recent relevant experience

Strong leadership skills with experience in managing and developing high-performing teams.
Proven track record in driving data-driven decision-making and delivering actionable insights.
Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to effectively communicate complex data findings to non-technical stakeholders.
Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects and prioritize effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Strong business acumen and the ability to understand and align analytics initiatives with organizational goals.
Proactively creates, develops, and builds strong relationships with senior-level decision-makers, including physician and C-suite leaders, clinical staff, and vendors.
Demonstrated project management and leadership abilities, with experience in mentoring and developing team members.
Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple responsibilities effectively.
Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey complex information to diverse audiences.
Strong customer service orientation with consistent and timely follow-up on issues.
Ability to inspire confidence, diffuse tension, and act as a change agent.
Ability to lead multidisciplinary groups and present to various levels of the organization
Proficiency in computer software including Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access, and Visio.
Ability to synthesize data and create meaningful presentation
Ability to quickly grasp data provided in opportunity analyses and effectively secure feedback to the supplying source as to its quality
Knowledge of healthcare products and equipment, inventory sources, and alternative sources of supply, purchasing, and distribution systems, contract administration, and new or emerging trends in the industry
Team leadership and organization skills
Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing
Ability to manage complex situations with a high degree of variation
Adaptable with a high tolerance of ambiguity

Pay Range is $103.75 to $166.00 / hourThe salary range for this role may vary above or below the posted range as determined by location. This range has not been adjusted for any specific geographic differential applicable by area where the position may be filled. Compensation takes into account several factors including but not limited to a candidate’s experience, education, skills, licensure and certifications, department equity, training and organizational needs. Base pay is just one piece of the total rewards program offered by Sutter Health. Eligible roles also qualify for a comprehensive benefits package.
