Data Modeler / Architect (Czech based)

We are looking for an experienced Data Modeler / Architect who can transform business needs into functional, technically feasible data models. We are not about programming, but about the ability to design - thoughtfully, sustainably and with respect for technical and business limits.

You will design data libraries and datamarts, define semantic layers, design historization and create an environment where each data field has its own meaning and logic.

What you will do:
Design conceptual, logical and physical data models for data warehouses, libraries and analytical platforms
Control data mapping from staging layer to final reporting model (e.g. Power BI)
Create and maintain data standards, approaches to historicization (SCD), harmonization and master data management
Collaborate with analysts, business and data engineers – you can translate the needs of one and the possibilities of the other
Design the architecture of data layers (L0–L3), including the semantic layer
Consider performance and technological constraints in the design

What we expect from you:
Experience with designing data models for larger solutions (multiple sources, different data quality, complex dependencies)
Excellent knowledge of data modeling:
Star schema, Snowflake schema, Data Vault, denormalization
Master data modeling, historicization (SCD), semantic layers
Experience with design datamarts: you understand the business and know how to transfer it to the correct data structure

Technical knowledge:
SQL (excellent knowledge)
Python basics
Overview of cloud technologies (Azure, GCP, AWS)
Knowledge of ETL/ELT concepts and ability to design data flows (not implement)
Ability to think, communicate and argue your proposals in a structured way
Advantage: experience with modeling tools (e.g. dbt, ER/Studio, PowerDesigner, Lucidchart)
