The Junior Data Analyst supports the Reporting & Analytics Manager and Business Relationship Managers on major projects by designing and implementing advanced analytics reports and dashboards. These solutions provide visibility and insights to support strategic goals and business needs, using custom visualizations, multiple data sources, and data input from web forms and applications.
 

What will you be doing?

• The Junior Data Analyst is responsible for crafting, developing, and deploying operational, strategic, and analytical dashboards and reports that provide real-time transparency, track key performance indicators, and deliver insights through data trends and forecasts. All implementations follow industry best practices to ensure secure information handling and controlled user access within Business Analytics solutions.

• The role also involves supporting and maintaining the analytics user experience, including managing report content, user administration, and ensuring documentation is current. The analyst uses standard engagement tools for guided analytics and training, while also collaborating with Data Engineers to automate processes, improve efficiency, and tackle complex business problems through data-driven solutions.
   

What will you need to be successful?

• The ideal candidate holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Data Analytics, Business Analytics, Data Science, Information Sciences, Computer Science, or a related field. Certifications such as Power BI Desktop Specialist are recommended, while Azure Cloud Developer is a nice-to-have. Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools is essential, with strong capabilities in Excel (pivot tables, analytical functions, data visualisation), Access, and PowerPoint.

• With over a year of hands-on experience in Power BI visual development, the candidate is adept at creating custom dashboards and information visualisations. They demonstrate strong skills in data analysis, modeling, and report generation, and are comfortable using both desktop and cloud-based productivity tools like Office365 and Microsoft Teams. Key competencies include professionalism, confidence in engaging stakeholders at all levels, the ability to align technical solutions with business strategy, and effectively translating between technical and business language.
