IMCO is seeking a highly motivated Senior Analyst to join our team as part of the IT Centralized Support Team. In this role, you will play a crucial role in delivering effective support for investment applications, maintaining service levels, and ensuring production process stability across our Investment Applications portfolio (including IFIN, Risk, and Investments). As a key liaison between our business partners in Data Technologies, Investment Risk, Front Office, IFIN teams, and external vendors, you’ll contribute to the day-to-day operations of our investment and data applications.

As a Member of Our Team, You Will be Responsible For:

  • Application Support: Design, lead, and deliver effective application support. Investigate root causes, recommend changes, oversee executions, and maintain accurate documentation for the entire suite of programs.
  • Technical Expertise: Serve as a technical and subject matter expert in resolving issues and incidents related to job failures across the entire portfolio.
  • Day-to-Day Operations: Execute and coordinate day-to-day support duties, including troubleshooting technical operational incidents, data and reporting errors, and user access management.
  • Operational Monitoring: Develop and implement effective operational monitoring processes. Monitor scheduled and ad hoc data and job executions.
  • Stakeholder Support: Assist stakeholder groups in Investment Management, Investment Finance, Data Management, Investment Risk, and Performance teams with applications, data, or reporting issues.
  • User Access Control: Lead user access control processes, including onboarding and offboarding activities.
  • Vendor Liaison: Collaborate with external vendors to address technical issues and third-party support requirements within a defined scope.
  • Environment Stability: Collaborate with counterparts in other IT verticals to set up and maintain production configurations, striving to improve environment stability and service levels.
  • Operational Risk and Controls: Understand operational risk, controls, and systems performance management in all initiatives.
    Process Mapping: Perform detailed business process mapping and document findings related to investment applications support.
  • Handoff Sessions: Conduct handoff sessions with project teams to ensure successful transition of enhancements and processes to production support.
  • Audit and Process Reviews: Contribute at a tactical level to internal and external operational audits and process reviews.
  • Automation Opportunities: Assess, research, and collaborate with stakeholders, vendors, and IT team members to onboard new functions and enhance investment workflows through AI and/or automation.
  • Creative Problem-Solving: Think creatively to design solutions with a continuous improvement approach.
  • Knowledge Sharing: Disseminate troubleshooting and analysis techniques to other staff collaboratively.
  • Documentation and Training: Ensure adherence to IMCO’s processes and procedures, maintaining proper documentation and providing training as needed.
  • Test Case Design: Design test cases and perform test validations.
     

What do you need to succeed?

  • Experience: 5+ years supporting investment applications in capital markets and asset management.
  • Client Support: 3+ years leading or directly supporting investment applications.
  • IT Service Management: Strong domain knowledge in IT service management, including incident management, change management, configuration management, and operations management.
  • Workflow Understanding: Solid understanding of internal and external investment workflows and trading lifecycles. Strong working knowledge of investment workflow and processing requirements for all instrument types.
  • Audit Experience: Prior involvement with internal and external operational audits is a benefit.
  • Must haves:
    • Deep knowledge and familiarity with SFTP and SSH protocols.
    • Technical familiarity with Azure Data Factory and/or Azure Data Lake Services
    • Experience in level 2 Support – beyond end-user technologies.
    • Working understanding of SQL queries, and familiarity with SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS)
    • Some level of familiarity with SOC/SOC2 audit controls and IT general controls.
  • Nice to have - preferred:
    • Familiarity with ITSM standards,
    • Familiarity with Software development lifecycle (SDL)
    • Development experience is an asset
    • Experience with automation tools (eg: powerautomate, tableau, powerapps, etc.)
    • PowerBI familiarity – experience building PBI dashboards is an asset.
       
  • Adaptability: Demonstrated ability to work under dynamic conditions and tight deadlines with multiple stakeholders.
  • Communication: Excellent communication skills, comfortable communicating with both business and technical teams.
  • Education: Undergraduate degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Business, Finance, or a related discipline.

Additional Knowledge (Assets):

  • IT Service Management: Strong domain knowledge in IT service management (incident management, change management, configuration management, and operations management).
  • Automation Skills: Proficiency in identifying opportunities for automation and expertise in developing automation solutions. Eg: Power BI, Power Automate, Tableau etc.
  • System Development Life Cycles: Knowledge of application and system development life cycles.
  • Data Lifecycle Management: Experience managing the data lifecycle, including data delivery pipelines, is highly regarded.
