Job DetailsInternal Audit Data Analytics team is looking for a dedicated team player who shares our passion for data analytics, engineering and visualization to enable our Internal Audit organization. This role reports to the Data Analytics Manager - Internal Audit and will play an integral role in advancing the data analytics goals and skill sets of the Internal Audit (IA) function. This position will actively drive the integration of data analytics and associated data visualizations into internal audits cyber and Information technology audit projects to deliver innovative, insightful, and actionable analyses. Harnessing their cybersecurity expertise and technical skills for data management and analytics to identify control weaknesses that help the business achieve its financial, IT and operational objectives. The role requires the ability to manage multiple concurrent projects using strong analytical skills, flexibility, and ingenuity. Strong interpersonal and communication skills (both written and verbal) are required in this position. As a role that provides data visibility across all business and functional IT units of our enterprise, you will develop reporting/analytics solutions in response to requests of a diverse scope, including, but not limited to risk assessments models, analytics for audit execution, continuous auditing/monitoring solutions, and special data projects.
Responsibilities
Drive the buildout and maturing of the cyber analytics program - including people, process, and technology components.
Develop analytical scripts, tests and analytical reports using Python and/or SQL based query.
Assist in building a cyber analytics program to enable executive decision making and prioritized risk mitigation through reporting of meaningful insights.
Lead analysts to support development of cyber analytics solution. Leading development of ad-hoc/continuous monitoring reporting.
Work with cyber data source owners to establish sustainable processes and technical architecture for data acquisition.
Contribute to periodic refinement of standards-based and best practices compliant security metrics.
Ensure a standard process is used throughout the enterprise for metrics development, creation, and analysis.
Partner with the IA leadership team to increase the effectiveness and efficiency of Internal Audit (IA) by embedding data analytics and automation into technology audits.
Engage the IA leadership team to present recommendations on new and innovative analytics-based initiatives. Identify and obtain access to enterprise data sources for continuous risk monitoring process and internal audit projects.
Learn, apply, and promote data analytics usage and skills among IA colleagues through knowledge sharing, mentoring, and the recommendation of appropriate analytics tools.
Requirements
Requires a bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems, Engineering or another IT related field or equivalent work experience.
Minimum of 5+ years professional experience in IT, data analytics, risk management, or internal audit.
3+ years of experience in implementing and managing ETL, data management and analytics technologies usage of business intelligence tools such as Tableau, Power BI, QuickSight, Looker etc.
2+ cybersecurity experience with good understanding of overall cyber security program and expertise in cyber domains e.g. vulnerability management, threat intelligence, GRC, incident management, Security operations managements, data protection etc.
Strong programming/scripting experience in retrieving and analyzing data using various data analytics tools e.g., SQL, Alteryx, Python.
Security or Data related Certification is preferred.
Strong experience with Business Intelligence/data visualization tools like Power BI, Tableau, etc.
Experience with Data Bricks Solutions is preferred.
Is experienced in collaborating with management and technical stakeholders.
Minimum skills
Strong skills in query development using SQL based query/scripting tool equivalent.
Strong analytical skills in Statistical/Quantitative Analysis, Data Mining and/or Business Intelligence
Strong business and financial acumen including understanding of IT Domains.
Demonstrated understanding of the internal audit function or role of an internal auditor as a partner to the functions and businesses.
Strong interpersonal skills: able to work across teams at all levels to influence and effect change to achieve common goals.
Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Applications.
Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing.
A self-starter that is motivated to lead and implement changes to enhance the department's data analytics capability through large scale data projects.
