Overview

Join the ArcGIS Data Pipelines team and be part of an exciting opportunity to build next-generation data preparation and ingestion tools for enterprise and cloud users. In this role, you will focus on testing and releasing capabilities while designing innovative user experiences. As an early and critical team member, you will play a vital role in launching these new tools.

We are seeking a communicative, creative, and motivated individual who is eager to learn, tackle diverse challenges, and contribute to the development of impactful software. Help us harness the power of geospatial reasoning to answer countless questions and address the world’s most pressing and complex problems.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with other passionate product engineers and software developers to create software that is user-friendly, performant, and impactful
  • Gather user requirements and be a strong voice to advocate for user workflows during the design phase
  • Design, develop, and maintain new test cases to ensure quality and performance
  • Run manual and automated test cases then analyze and report results in a timely and consistent manner
  • Design controls, pages, and other user interfaces
  • Author samples, blogs, and other resources that illustrate new capabilities and present this work to stakeholders and user groups

Requirements

  • 2+ years of experience with Python or other scripting languages
  • 2+ years of experience combining and preparing data from different data sources
  • Familiarity with web analysis experiences like ArcGIS Online or ArcGIS Enterprise
  • Confident verbal communicator; comfortable giving in-person and online presentations to groups of colleagues or the user community
  • Ability to manage priorities and tasks as needed in a fast-paced agile software development environment
  • Self-motivated and inquisitive, willing to ask questions and chase new ideas
  • Bachelor's in GIS, computer science, data analysis or a related field, depending on position level

Recommended Qualifications

  • Master's in GIS, computer science, data analysis or a related field
  • Experience with PySpark
  • Experience with LLMs or AI
  • Project management knowledge or experience
  • Experience with NoSQL databases, RDBMS, cloud warehouses, and object stores
  • Experience with testing frameworks such as pytest
  • Fundamental understanding of APIs and API design principles
  • Experience with ArcGIS Online or ArcGIS Enterprise

Compensation decisions and the base range for this role take into account many factors including but not limited to skill sets; experience and training; licensure and certifications; and other business and organizational needs.

A reasonable estimate of the base salary range is$76,960—$128,544 USD
