Healthcare Data Analyst – Job Description

Our patient-centric Primary Care clinics are dispersed across Minneapolis/St. Paul, MN. We are thrilled to serve the Twin Cities metro and Eagan. About the Healthcare Data Analyst Role:  

We are looking for a highly motivated Healthcare Data Analyst who will play a key role in transforming raw data into actionable insights that enhance patient outcomes and operational efficiency. Reporting to the Director of Data Analytics, you will partner with stakeholders across clinical operations, product, and finance to design dashboards, build datasets, and support strategic initiatives through data.  

The ideal candidate is a self-started with strong technical skills in SQL, Tableau, and Snowflake, and has experience working with healthcare datasets in a fast-paced or startup environment. 

Location Requirements: 

While candidates located in Minnesota are strongly preferred, we welcome applications from individuals who are legally authorized to work in the United States. 

Essential Functions: 

  • Develop and maintain SQL queries and Snowflake data models to extract, clean, and transform healthcare data
  • Build Tableau dashboards to support business intelligence, care quality tracking, and performance metrics
  • Analyze healthcare datasets (claims, EHR, patient engagement, quality metrics) to uncover trends and generate insights
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams (clinical, operations, finance) to define reporting needs and implement data solutions
  • Support recurring and ad hoc reporting requirements aligned with value-based care initiatives
  • Assist in data validation, QA, and ensuring data integrity across reports
  • Document data definitions, transformations, and dashboard logic in a clear and scalable manner 

Must-have Qualifications and Skills: 

  • 3+ years of hands-on experience as a data analyst or similar role in healthcare, value-based care, or related field
  • Strong proficiency in SQL and experience working with Snowflake or similar data warehouse platforms
  • Proven experience building dashboards using Tableau, PowerBI, or similar
  • Solid understand of healthcare data sources (e.g., claims, EHR, HEDIS, risk adjustment)
  • Familiarity with data governance, security, and HIPAA-compliant practices
  • Excellent attention to detail and analytical thinking sills
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to explain data findings to non-technical audiences
  • Comfort working in a fast-paced, ambiguous, and evolving environment 

Nice-to-have Qualifications and Skills: 

  • Basic proficiency in Python or similar for data analysis and automation
  • Experience with data modeling or metrics development in healthcare
  • Understanding of CMS quality programs, risk adjustment, or population health
