The “Governance & Steering” department is a staff unit to Erste´s “Data Factory”, consisting of two divisions that are providing regulatory and non-regulatory reporting and analytical services based on data warehouses and data lakes. The staff unit itself is covering different kinds of cross-layer functions, one of them being the Financial Management. The Financial Management Team is supporting and consulting the two Divisions (~270 employees in total) in all financial matters in two main areas: management of cost/revenues for projects and services (IT operations) and cost tracking of the organizational units of the two Divisions.

What to do:

• Running various planning cycles: Forecasting (during the current year) and budget planning (for the upcoming year) for selected projects and services of the two divisions, using SAP S/4HANA (BPC module)

• Monthly controlling reports (e.g. actuals vs. plan for projects/services and organizational units), performing variance analysis using SAP and Excel

• Ad-hoc reports for several stakeholders (from operative to top management)

• End-to-end processing of incoming invoices (workflow management, invoice tracking, completion), using SAP, Excel and internal tools.

• Engagement in purchase order processes, including support in the creation and monitoring of purchase requisitions.

• Promptly performing ad hoc tasks with flexibility and within time-sensitive constraints. Efficiently prioritizing tasks to meet deadlines and achieve objectives.

• Optimizing internal and external staffing (capacity planning, utilization reporting, balancing risks/costs and seeking for synergies)

• Close collaboration with Line Managers, Project Managers, Service Managers across the two Divisions and with colleagues from other Erste units, like Controlling, Accounting, Procurement, Human Resources, … and with external Vendors (for incoming invoices)

• Highlighting and reporting identified risks to the appropriate managerial levels.

Requirements

You check these boxes:

• Experience in Controlling (Controlling certification as advantage; university degree preferred) and comfortable with using tools such as SAP/Excel/PowerPoint

• Profound Excel knowledge as a must, PowerPoint medium at least

• Basic knowledge of accounting principles (accrual logic, capitalization…)

• Ability to merge data from different sources, analyze it, find patterns

• Skills to present facts and figures in a comprehensible way, making them easily understandable

• English advanced, German basic knowledge (preferred)

• Common sense (target, process thinking) and curious mindset (continuous learning)

• Team player with supportive attitude (service unit) who is treating all people always with respect

• A competitive and performance-related salary dependent on your professional and personal qualifications is granted - we are obliged by law to quote the minimum wage of EUR 2.500,- gross per month for this full time position.
