JOB SUMMARY

We are seeking a Data Management intern to join our team! This role is ideal for someone who is passionate about Computer Science, business analysis and developing automation around manual process. The Data Management intern will interface with our Data Management team, among others within iTradeNetwork to engage directly with strategic projects that impact our clients and the industry.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Analyze and assess existing manual processes to identify inefficiencies.
  • Develop and implement automation solutions to streamline workflows.
  • Explore opportunities to integrate AI to enhance decision-making and operational efficiency.
  • Provide fresh perspectives and identify areas of improvement that may have been overlooked.

What you’ll need:

Technical

  • Some familiarity with automation languages such as Python or Javascript is helpful
  • Basic understanding of AI concepts and machine learning principles
  • Familiarity with TensorFlow, PyTorch or similar is a plus
  • Basic SQL knowledge for querying and analyzing data in relational databases
  • Exposure to tools like RPA platforms or workflow automation tools
  • Experience with process visualization software (e.g., LucidChart, Miro)

Problem Solving

  • Ability to map out workflows and identify inefficiencies
  • Aptitude for breaking down complex problems into manageable tasks

Communication and Collaboration

  • Ability to clearly articulate technical findings to non-technical audiences
  • Strong writing skills for documenting process-optimization solutions
  • Experience working on group projects or cross-functional teams (even in academic settings)

Relevant Coursework

  • Courses in automation, data analytics, AI, or systems engineering is a big plus
  • Participation in hackathons or other activities showcasing strong problem solving skills

Soft Skills

  • Eagerness to learn new tools and technologies
  • Proactivity in seeking out resources and opportunities for improvement
  • Ability to manage tasks effectively within a defined timeline
